anyone used these for the 3DS? how is it? apparently things come to life!. xD

I've never tried it, personally.

I got some waiting to be used for kid Icarus but I don't know if I will use them. I'm thinking they will be worth selling one day.

I have a set somewhere but never really used them unfortunately. :p

I thought you mean't R4 cards at first. :O :p I wasn't aware there was one that works on 3DS. :p

I tried to to saw those six ar card but I don't find them that interesting also when will get nintendo you will at your or on those useless cards.

I have the ones that came with the original 3DS but I haven't used them for years. The character cards are decent enough for taking pictures with characters posed (I did that often for Swapnote  ) but the ? card is the best, there are some camera-using games you can play on it which are actually very good. The dragon

I tried it using an image on the web and it worked,i moved the thing and all that and made him big, different poses and all that.It was hard putting the 3ds in the correct position since if it sees your computer or off the screen it would mark it can not detect and AR card.I don't have AR cards since i did not buy my 3ds.

I have used the AR cards game that came with the 3ds and at first it seems very fun but once you finish everything it gets kinda boring . Haven't touched them since ages and I think I probably lost the cards but anyways , I have the Kid Icarus cards too but this time I didn't lose them . Overall the AR cards games are quite decent enough and I really hope for maybe an update , but that's not going to happen ;)

There okay, I only really used my cards (that came with the 3DS ) on my Nintendogs and had Britain (a bull terrier) sitting on my bed. Other than that nothing.

i actually had a lot of fun with the ar cards when i first got my 3DS. played that for the first week before even starting black/white lol. only 3d game i had at the time was samurai warriors chronicles which i didn't really like. but yea there really isn't much replayability to em. the fishing is cool though. through a recently discovered ar card database site, i found that there really arn't too many things that use em. it has just about every kid icarus uprising card, which is great for free hearts (100 per first time scan) as well as a few for the Vita like project mirai 1/2 and the Love Plus dating sim games for the japanese 3DS.

When I first got the AR cards I played with them non stop playing every game for hours, but that soon got boring, I moved on and started playing other games like Super Mario 3d land, which is a lot of fun. I got the kid Icarus ones of eBay along with the game a while back, but they eventually got boring to. But I think that now that I've read this I'm ready to go back and play with them some more like I used to.

I have used them, and the game would have been fun if only the camera was better and its images were not so dark. If the cameras were better, then the game would have been awesome. Because of the stupid cameras, the AR cards aren't very well detectable.

I used them when I first got my 2DS. It wasn't that cool in 2D, but it worked nicely. I just wish there were more to do with them, if there were more cards and more games/apps that actually used them.

I've used the ones that came with the 3DS just a little bit, just to see what it was about.

Otherwise, I like what they did in some games. Like in Disney Magical World, you can find AR Cards on the web to unlock new content in your game. I know there are a couple of games like that, but it this one it's really cute, you see Tinker Bell coming out of the card to deliver you your goodies *__*

I think the AR cards are fun to use because you can hold them in your hand and take a picture and it will look like you are holding a character! They're cool for some time, but I haven't used them for a while because playing actual games is much more fun.

you gotta be really careful with that though. if your hand is covering it even slightly, the character wont show up.

I tried to use them once and I got annoyed. :D
  • You have to hold your DS in the most awkward position ever
  • DS has a horrible camera
  • I don't have a round table sitting around my house so how am I suppose to navigate around something, :p

I used them but they're kind of boring. The KI:U cards are neat but the other AR cards don't do much. Though if you play with them a lot you will be able to get a lot of minigames with Playcoins (3ds playcoins, not Pedian pc) including one that is just a globe. You can tap it and throw it around until it bursts. Unlike the other games you'll have to buy a new one after that. There also pops up a messages saying something like "You an buy a new one in the game, but not in real life. Be kind to our planet." Pretty powerful message for a free built-in app.
