It's not a hack, it's a mod. It has everything you love about Brawl except no tripping and feels more like Melee.

How is this even a question at all? SSB4 of course! Not only does it appeal much more to competitive gamers,it still has online mode(which has little lag BTW),it added a bunch of new characters like Shulk,Megaman,and Little Mac, it did major balancing, and because of smash run ssb4 is much better appealing to casuals. Ssb4 beats it in every way possible,no contest.

Smash 4 for sure. While brawl was my third favorite wii game, it is nothing compared to the newer installments. Sure, I miss Wolf, Snake and the ice climbers, and the subspace emissary was good, it was really slow, didn`t have a good online mode, and the controller selection was not as wide as smash for 3DS.

Smash 4. Because it has no tripping, it is not as slow as GTA V running on a calculator, it is not played on the moon (gravity anyone ?) and it is on the 3DS which is a handheld.

Actually, Smash 4 does have tripping. It just doesn't have random tripping. Fighters can only be tripped by certain items, or effects by items or attacks. This is forced tripping.

So when I destroyed all my friends on Smash 3DS, I felt awesome. So when I asked one of my friends whom I mentioned multiple times how he felt, he said "Brawl's the better game" And I laughed. So basically, we had a bet on what people thought was the better game : Brawl or Smash 4? So will you join his side with Brawl or me with Smash 4?

Smash 4 hands down is much better than Brawl. In Smash 4, there is no random tripping (even though fighters can be tripped by items or effects of items). Smash 4 is also more fast paced than Brawl.

True, not well worded from me but it's obviously the randomness of Brawl's tripping that bothered me. Obviously when Diddy Kong throws a banana at me, I fall and don't find it unfair. But when I just try to run in Brawl and fall for no reason, then that's unfair.

If I had to pick, It'd be Smash four because in brawl the physics was arguably bad and the tripping is really an eyesore. In smash 4 the physics are both melee and brawl which favors everyone in all ages. So basically smash 4 is the new brawl but is fixed of its annoyingness.

Smash 4 because of the greatness it hasand how more faster it is and I will always like super smash bros 4 alot better than super smash bros brawl because brawl had Meta Knight. But now super smash bros 4 has lots of balanced characters and is just so darn fun. I really like the online play like how you can send replays to your friends and how you will be able to post replays on youtube while your on ssb4

I actually liked both games. Both of them were very fun to play and Brawl had some of my favorite characters to ever be in smash. And there weren't that mamy clones to begin with. But now I like the newest installment of Smash. Some of my favorite characters are missing, but I least I can play online.

Smash 4 because we don't have to deal with tripping. I hate tripping. Plus the Characters, and Graphics are better.

I like Brawl better. Actually l liked the tripping. It is funny. Also because more items pops up, story mode, and...well, l really loved the graphics to be honest. Brighter isn't always better in my opinion. I liked the taunts, voices, and appearences on certain characters (Marth, lke, Fox, l'm not used to his voice yet in Sm4sh) And finally, my favorite stages aren't in Sm4sh. Where's Green Greens from Kirby? Where's the ship from Zelda? Plus, Brawl was in my life since l was very young age. Nothing replaces it. I'm all for Brawl.

The ship is back now. And Dream Land 64 can easily replace Green Greens.

Super Smash Bros. for 3DS all day. Like said, more cool characters and handheld. Maybe your friend is being a little jelly. I got something for him.

i love the story part (i dont know how to call it sorry) on brawl but i love smash 4 too so its a tie lol

I personally think that brawl is better but dont get me wrong i like both of them and i am excited for the dlc on the 3ds especially Cloud cause he is my favorite but kind of for my personal preference reasons on what i liked i pick brawl since more of my favorite characters are on brawl and also i liked the online better since you had more choices on what you could play with your friends like multi-man smash or home run contest and i loved to play those games with my friends cause i always had fun doing those with them and would get really high records with them and i also thought it brung people closer together since you all sit down and have a good time together on one screen (locally) but on the 3ds you may be close together but its not the same by looking at your own (small) screen. And you also had more controller options like the regular wii remote, wii remote and nunchucks, classic controller or the game cube controller so thats mostly why brawl is my favorite r.i.p Snake was my favorite on brawl

Brawl. It mainly is because of SSE in Brawl and no Adventure mode in 4 (Not even one like melee's).

Definitely Smash 4. Since I started playing 4, I just couldn't get back to Brawl because of how slow it feels. And, same case as you OP, I do have a few friends who managed to do the Brawl->4 transition, but there's still that one friend who thinks that Brawl>All because he managed to rekt everyone on it. (Still waiting to show me that though)

Depends. In general I say 4 cause brawl is slow and glitchy and also bad for combos
I miss subspace in 4 and I also miss the stickers. I prefer the characters in 4 but I think they shouldn't have changed pit cause he was soooooo much better in brawl also snake is epic. I miss the old target smash. Still I think the rules in melee are the best but anyways I personally prefer 4
