A laser shot out connecting with Cal throwing him across the field. "He's just lucky that's all he gets..." Eric muttered. "Thanks Azura, but I could have handled it. I've been in more explosions then you could count."

Axel was so busy daydreaming that he was oblivious to what was happening. He walked over to Eric and Azura. "Hello there!" Axel said while waving.

Growning Cal got up and then fell back over.

"That was plazma it would melted us if i hadn't made an ice barrier. And you havn't even been in 20 explosions i did count. Oh Axel that guy looks just like you." He said pointing at Makoto.

"Well, think it's about time we head back," Eric suggested. "Cire, remember your primary objective is to kill a pile of eildons, not just Irift. Oh, and they'll respawn over time so... Good luck is all I have to say," Eric said shaking Cire's hand. "And Azura. It's a damn figure of speech, trust me I'd have been fine, that was honestly a poor, unstable excuse for a plasma grernade."

Axel walked over to Makoto. "Umm...hey. What's your name?" Axel asked. "Makoto. It's a pleasure." The two shook hands. "Huh, we do kinda look alike." Makoto said.

Hay Eric Cal punched Eric in the face now I'm good said Cal then Cal jest walked away.

"Hmm?" Axel said. Haaahahahahaha! You thought you 4 could escape us, huh! Well guess again! The two mysterious figures who appeared flew into the sky, going two separate directions. "Oh crap." Axel said.

"What? How? Why?" Eric was bursting with questions. "Looks like you don't have to miss the big boss fight after all huh, Cire."

Makoto was dumbfounded at what these people were talking about. "Umm...can you guys fill us in on what's going on here?" Makoto said.

"Axel permission to engage?" Azura looked at Axel as he began channaling elemental power.

"Meet Larhaul, a person whom I've never met who want to kill Azura, and the Cliche lord of Cliche... Wait a second..." Eric grabbed a phone from his pocket and dialed a number in his address book. Soon the whole team heard the voice of Overlord of Overlords himself.

"Who the hell is this!?!"

"I guess I do have your number. Stay on for a sec."

"Why?"

"I'm tracing the call."

"Okay fair enough."

"Why does it seem like they only want to fight when i don't?" Azura looked at Axel "So who dies first?"

Azura walked over Eric and the overlord heard "Your a hipicrit! You said if you thought you could get away from us and then you fly away!"

"He's right, it's all kinds of ironic," Cire agreed. Eric shot them dirty looks.

"I'm tired of waiting i'm going after Laharl!" Azura created a pheonix and flew in the direction Laharl went.

"I'm coming too! You'll need some backup!" Eric yelled up. "Cire, we WILL help Azura take that damn overlord down," Cire nodded and they both ran after the flaming bird.
