Do you really choose your main?

I think ssbm Marth and falco were definitely better. Also, I think you kinda choose your main. One generally has a preference, like swordfighters, or cute puffballs. But you also tend to like characters in that range that you feel are better than others. For example, my mains are toon link, robin, and Ike. They're all swordfighters.

Thats not exactly true, you can have several mains that arent alike. I have several characters such as Mario, Toon Link, Pacman, Yoshi and Jigglypuff. The only 2 that fall into the same category are Pacman and Jigglypuff, being the puffball characters. Mario is a Fist Fighter, Toon Link is a sword user and Yoshi is a Dinosaur who relies on his feet and head.

idk I don't have a "main" because I don't own ssb4 but I guess the one I use most is Kirby due to its ability to take others powers and its many combos and also because it has a lot of "jump/fly"

Well I think you do choose your main as a matter of fact. I think whatever character feels good to them is how they choose their main (it's how I choosed mine lol). I don't like to think of myself like I have a main, because every week it keeps changing for some reason. xD

Mewtwo's going to be my main this week.

For sure. I really do like Marth, but he struggles with every top tier charcter, so I might drop him, or have stronger secondaries to cover his worse matchups.

I find that I chose my main. I chose kirby because when I was younger I watched the show kirby right back at ha and fell in love with it and mainly Kirby as he was the star character. I tried him out in smash wii u and he fit my play style perfectly so if all worked out, and I also picked up c falcon, ness, dark pit, and mario/dr.mario as coverage for Kirby. (Since he is super light)

I always thought Kirby was OP because of his cloning ability, but when I finished Triple Deluxe (with like 80%), my love for Kirby was even greater, and he naturally became my favorite
