Yeah, I've heard of that :p
And notice how fast the nurse is :p

I have to tell you, when you in this you talked to the nurse and she just gave one speech bubble, I almost fell out of my chair with hysterical joy. :rotfl:

Lol :p
And there is something you can't see in the gif, but when that one bubble appears, you actually don't need to press A to validate, you can just walk away. So you basically only need to press A once to heal your Pokemons ;)

Actually, you do distribute stat points accordingly in EV Training :dead: Noticeably when you use
Super Training >.> It's different in a way in most RPGs do it like gaining stat points after each level up, Pokemon used to do it back in older gens.

Battles are never predetermined in Pokemon, unless you battle against an AI in the story or a newbie. You can still lose the battle even if you plan ahead since every player uses different kinds of Pokemon, sooo... I doubt you'll be fighting Pokemons that you always expect. In Pokemon, prediction is the key to winning to be honest.

"There is very little you can really do to change a match after the line up has been created."
Can you be precise?

I doubt that I missed your point, but if I do, can you clarify your point briefly? >.>

I was under the impression that figurative language would be dealt with as if it were figurative language.

Argument:victor of a battle regardless of PvP or PvE can be decided as soon as you enter a battle with them. The only factors I am aware of that can really change it is critical and evasion rate. All other stats determine how much damage every move will do. That's only fuel to the fire. Crits and evasion can't be determined, so naturally, any unpredictable factor can change everything drastically.
Only things that I can really think of is move usage and Crit/evasion rates, but that isn't anything new and is basic to any strategy game. Types only act as elemental weaknesses. Basic, predetermined factors that you work to exploit. Whether you can or not is also predetermined by what you've assigned to your team. I've obviously considered type advantages, so please don't use that as an argument. If you could tell me something that you wouldn't say is a 'basic, unpredictable factor,' I'd love to hear it. Or you can argue against type advantages being 'basic,' though it won't likely change my thinking. I see them as very simple.

I started playing with my touchscreen today (for a while, not permanently) to give my A button a rest. It's one of the reasons my play of Pokemon X has been so jittery - you have to cycle through so many prompts and affirm every effect ('Xerneas is radiating a Fairy Aura! Press A again now to bring it closer to be mashed in'), every piece of dialogue, it just feels too time-consuming for me. I'd like battles to be faster; that effects pop up in a sidebar, and don't halt gameplay every time some effect happens.

Not necessarily.
I'm not into competitive battling, but I've seen my boyfriend do it.
You have to make a team that supports itself and other Pokemon on the team, figure out what types are good to use and when to use them.
Then in battle, you have to figure out what to do.
Do you want to attack with a move or withdraw and put a stronger Pokemon out there?
Will your opponent withdraw or attack? If you have a grass type, does their Pokemon have a fire type?
What will you do?
You have to strategize all throughout battle and plan ahead or you will lose.

You misunderstood me as well. I do not deny that preparation has strategy to it. That's inherent. It's the combat that is my main complaint. It's very basic and there isn't much to consider other than Types and moves, which you didn't really argue against :/

I 100% agree with you.
Especially after you've cleared the main story line.
You can only do a few thing like breeding/EV training/Battle Chateau. After a while it gets boring to breed for the perfect IV's.
Also I think they made the main storyline after the 4th generation too easy so you can clear that pretty fast.

Training your pokemon is real slow you have to go to the tall grass over and over again defeating all pokemon to train yours. Its such a waste of time. plus annoying Nurse joy's annoying "lecture" (it IS a lecture)

I really get fed up when I lose because of a critical hit or a miss. It's really annoying because you will have put in all the effort into that game, then all of the effort will be worthless because of the critical hit.

I also get really annoyed when a Pokemon dies in a Nuzlocke due to a critical hit. It's like that Pokemon didn't deserve to die. I guess I just really hate critical hits...

Breeding Pokemon is boring, training Pokemon is boring, traveling between towns is boring (after you beat the game), but when starting the game it's fun because there was story. Even a battle can get me fed up even though that's supposed to be the best part of the game. I do like to go to other games rather than Pokemon if I get the chance.

I sometimes do.

tbh, I love waiting for the nurse and reading all the pointless dialogue. It gets annoying, but if it went away I'd miss it.

And it's fun trying to piece together the games and think of crazy theories based on the story-lines.

BUT I am fed up with the terrible luck I get on battlespot! I'm always really close to winning then I get frozen by Ice Punch, flinched by waterfall twice, and so on .-.

Well, recently I have- Pokemon X/Y was a fresh new blast, fun to play etc. But OR/AS on the other hand, although getting me drunk on nostalgia, is just too boring :( I haven't returned to Pokemon since, I've been sticking with SSB4. I might be coming back to pokemon though, slowly but steadily
