Ultimate Do you think Super Smash Bros. Switch will have a story mode?

I'm hoping that Subspace Emissary would make a re-appearance. Subspace Emissary was a really good story mode, and I remember finally getting a Tabuu trophy! I thought it was such an epic story, and the enemies were really creative! The cutscenes were fun as well.

Maybe Smash Bros Ultimate will have a whole new storyline...?? We just have to wait and see!

The enemies were creative, but got pretty boring after a while. You were fighting the same enemies over and over pretty much.

That is true. Some of the enemies were repeated a lot. I found it cool, though, how the bosses were usually antagonists from different games in Nintendo's history, or even new bosses altogether. Really hoping SE makes a return.

I loved the subspace emissery on brawl! It does suck that it was skipped on Smash 4. It was interesting how multiple characters worked together and stuff. I hope it returns in Smash Ultimate. But its true that it got a bit boring at some parts but I enjoyed it overall. Getting the Tabuu trophy was such a challenge! Memories...

If they made a subspace type thing with enemies like in smash run, that would be pretty great

I loved subspace but never played the melee story mode. I was really sad it didn't come back in any form on Wii U or 3ds, and I think Nintendo knows a lot of people feel the same way. I think it will come back, but in a very different way from what we saw in either Melee or Brawl, so I'm not sure I'll like it as much as Subspace. To me the draw of Subspace is the crazy scenarios involving all the characters from the many different series in smash. I mean you can't tell me that Fox and Diddy Kong weren't hilarious, or that the battle with Marth and Meta Knight whobecome allies by circumstance of being both surrounded wasn't the coolest thing to see. To me subspace is what I want from Smash, for it to be an amazing fighting game crossover event!
