Do you think the 3DS XL should have had two Circle Pads?

When I first got my 3DS XL, I read comments from people saying that the 3DS XL should have had two Circle Pads instead of one. Stuff like there is enough space for it due to the larger size, etc..

In your opinion, do you think the 3DS XL is fine as is, or would you have preferred to have two Circle Pads instead? Of course, the second Circle Pad would be on the right-hand side of the handheld.

No. There aren't that many games that support it and it wouldn't feel right with the design of the Circle Pad.

With their next handheld, however, it better have two control sticks or I'll be mad.

Besides having the circle pad for lefties I'm not sure why it would be there. Maybe a game that requires to use them both at the same time (like say a M&L RPG) to avoid/execute attacks. If there is enough demand for it for innovative games then I could see it happen but for now with the regular 3DS without an extra it was fine without it.

You probably not of heard of something called the Circle Pad Pro.

I'm sure everyone has but would it have been a better idea to have it on the XL built in rather than have it be two things to buy. I really don't think there is enough demand for a Circle Pad Pro but it would've been nice just to have it because chances are if you already have a 3DS and you bought and XL you wouldn't want to buy another thing just so you can play at least one game you've bought. Most people are righties or just adapt I guess. It's not like it matters if you only play turn-based RPGs.

Well, it would be useful for stuff like Monster Hunter where you need to be able to run in any direction imaginable and adjust your camera are the same time.

It's still gonna be the same price as 3DS XL and Circle Pad Pro combined.

Nope. They should have given the 2DS a second Circle pad, as that it the only version incompatible with the Circle Pad Pro. (And of course, if they did make one, it'd look big and ugly)

No, that wouldn't suit the console at all. It's fine as is, imo. Why add something that's not even needed? :p

One is more than enough.

i think that that would be good. there are not a ton of games that use it but i think that it would be nice, also if would be cool if you could use it instead of the other one depending on what hand u use the most.

To be honest, I would really like this addition. Games like Monster Hunter, Zelda Ocarina of Time and Super Mario 3D land could make really good use of this, by using the second Circle Pad to control the camera or execute different actions.
Even though the 3DS does not have a number of good FPS games (Not complaining), this would be a really great addition to the system.

Personally, no. I think it would be a mess to use the buttons and the right circle pad at a times (in case where some game publishers would like us to suffer in atrocious ways xD).
However, I admit that it would be useful for some games...

If they put a second circle pad built into a 3ds, it would be better suited for the 2DS. Personally, I don't care about a second circle pad, as I have no need for it and it'd just be wasted space.

Why would they give the 2DS a second circle pad, but not give it to the 3DS? They both use the same games.

The 3DS already has the circle pad pro, and the 2DS doesn't

True, but the XL is already bulky, and almost impossible to carry in pockets if you have a CPP on it.

I think the second one would have been useful and everyone including Nintendo wanted it, but that 2nd analog pad would really make the 3DS XL a clear upgrade over the 3DS. It would also shift the purpose of the 3DS XL from being a bigger 3DS with slight improvements to a completely changed console from the 3DS. I definitely want to see 2 circle pads for the next handheld, but for now, one is more than sufficient for ~95% of games.

Nah I think its fine the way it is! Two circle pads make it too confusing I say, the 3ds xl was the perfect upgrade for the 3DS I have to admit! All it is is bigger, made with different material, and some minor improvements. Its great just the way it is! Wish I would've gotten the xl before I went and got the original! Oh well, I can live with a smaller screen and very smudgy material... I'm not picky ;)

I dunno, the XL is perfect as it is. I have one, and it outclasses everthing I've played before.

To be honest, I do not think so, I feel very comfortable using only one circle pad (mine has only one). I think if you prefer to have two, you can add the accesorie Circle Pad Pro. It can give you one more circle pad (I am not sure but I think it is on the right side).
