Do you think we should have been able to nickname villagers?

Nicknaming villagers seems like an interesting idea! It is one that could be used for inappropriate purposes, but people already abuse catchphrases, so why not?
After all, some villagers nickname you, so why shouldn't you be able to nickname them? If villagers come to your town with bad nicknames, you could talk to Isabelle and reset them! It seems like a great idea!
Now I can finally name my least favorite villager Stupid

I'd love to name my villagers. ^_^ Like Levi, I'll probably call the ones I dislike the most terrible names. It's a pretty neat idea though and I really want it to happen. ;-; Ima just hope people don't go too far with naming villagers bad stuff. <.<

Yes! I'd give then a buch of silly nicknames xD Maybe pick a theme, like food, then everyone would be craving each other LOL. This could also be used to mess around with the dialogue, man I would just have a field day if this feature was implemented. Plus, it's really unfair how the villagers can nickname us and sometimes give us no choice but to accept what they suggest xD

I think it would be pretty cool, also pretty vengeful by naming a villager a insult for taking property or something to make you mad. It would also be much more enjoyable for you to have the power to change the names instead of going for the default.

I think that would kinda take away the fun if we were to nickname all villagers. However, if we could nickname a few special villagers, that would be pretty cool. There could be a visitor, who would be asking the details of someone we don't know. He/she would ask us the name of that person, their colour and what animal it is. After a few days, poof it's here!

I would love to be able to do that but knowing me even if I had that ability to do so I wouldn't be able to think of any nicknames to give them that fit their personality well. Maybe in the next game they will let us nickname all the animals.

I honestly like the villagers and their names just the way they are. (The name Isabelle is just friggin adorable, I have no idea why. >.<)

Plus, I feel like if that was a option, people would quickly take advantage of it, and then it might get ugly, if you catch my drift.
