Does anyone else miss the storyline?

I actually don't miss the storyline, I just miss the cutscenes.. It was just really cool to see the characters interact with each other, but I never enjoyed SubSpace's gameplay. It always just felt grim, and had uninspired/repetitive gameplay without replay value after you finish it once. Especially when you reach the great maze - a lot of it was just reusing the terrain from early in the mode and scavenging for characters. Maybe part of it was that Brawl was designed to look realistic.

If they had one, I'd prefer one to Melee's style. Having characters go through several of other characters' universes was a lot of fun to me, like how the Hyrule maze randomized itself every time, or climbing up an ice mountain and beating the Ice Climbers at the top.

It was relatively short to play through though.. Maybe they'll release some DLC of some kind.. Maybe even a new take on the mode altogether or a mix of both brawl's or melee's? I would love Melee adventure style with a story and cutscenes, on the Wii U of course.

I really miss the story mode from Super Smash Bros Brawl. It was fun to beat up bosses from Nintendo games. My personal favorite bosses to beat are Ridley(because that boss is extremely hard to beat in the Metroid games) Another would be the tall robot(forgot his name). If there was a story mode for the new smash installments, it would have more sales than it does now. But every system has its limits I suppose. Although Smash Run does include characters from the story mode in Brawl
