Ever missed a shiny pokemon?

A few months ago in X, I encountered a shiny druddigon. However, it soon used dragon tail and that was the end. I could not catch it :(

So I was wondering if you guys have ever missed a shiny pokemon.

I actually had once, it was a shiny Pichu in Pokemon Platinum in the courtyard the mansion next to a townand I was not prepared because I was trying to find a Pichu to evovle into a Pikachu :p Then I had only 3 ultra balls and 20 Poke Balls. I used 4 Ultra balls and 10 Poke balls but it only shook once on a Poke Ball at half health. I decided to hit it one more time but it fainted... :mad: :banghead::banghead::banghead:
 
Just recently you know , I was playing Pokemon Pearl in my very very old DS and on a few wild encounters , I encountered a Shiny Shinx >.< I was so excited !!! But then at that moment , well my DS encountered a error because of a misplaced SD card on my Flash Card ..........................:sorry:
 
I once in chain fishing missed a shiny horsea with 3+ivs. I wasn't paying much attention to the screen and ran from every battle. It was too late when the shiny horsea appeared. I had already clicked run just as I saw the horsea was shiny :<. My luck now hasn't been great and it seems it'll be long before i get another shiny horsea.
 
Not really, unless you count the red gayados. Basically what happened was non of the pokeballs were working on it, I didn't have that many on me. I was to scared to attack it as I had been grinding to the extreme at that point and was quite a few levels above it
 
Well not really since you see for hours i think i was roaming a piece of grass in pokemon black 2 training my pokemon even though my brother had forgotten about the game and all that and i just continued when after hours of playing i encountered a shiny shelmet,then later on a few days or so,i came home and found my bro had started a new game,all my hours and time wasted not to mention my pokemon.
 
Nope, I only encountered two shinies ever. A Red Gyarados in HeartGold (which would just return if you accidentally beat it) and a golden Luvdisk while chainfishing in pokémon X. I was quite prepared for it so I caught it with ease. but I'm always a bit scared I'll accidentally encounter a shiny, which is why I keep a stash of masterballs. No shiny shall escape me!
 
Never. I never make any mistakes while catching shiny pokemon as I always pretty prepare I also caught shiny vulpix in mount pyre may be a month ago with help dex nav chaining, it is really good feeling when you caught shiny hehehehe...........
 
Nope, I don't even encounter any shinies at all >_> Mostly because I don't really look either.
I think I'd cry if that happened to me haha.
I've seen it happen in some live stream video and the kid was sooo mad. Like I can't even imagine how that'd be.

Many, many times, my friend. Lol, just kidding. When I was smaller and I was playing HeartGold, I encountered a Shiny Onix without even noticing that it was Shiny until afterwards, when I looked up why the Onix had a different animation and looked different. I loathed in my despair for years. Haha not really I could not have cared any less.

Lemme tell about my friend-

My friend uses a pokemon black ROM. In his 35th try, he got a shiny tepig. Not long after, his save got deleted.
Then he encountered a shiny beldum in a dual battle. As it isn't possible to catch pokemon in a dual battle, he had to let go. (metagross was his favourite shiny too :()

A few days ago, he sends me his sav ti turn his emboar nd metagross shiny using pokesav. I told him it was illegal but he said that he got those pokemon legitly and so making them shiny won't harm anything...

i REMEMBER FINDING A shiny drantini in pokemon platinum. I was really sad that i killed it but encountered it a dew tries later and i finally caught him and i trained him to a lvl 100 shiny dragonite

I was playing pokemon emerald and BOOM a shiny latias appeard!Vaporeon used hydro pump , latias fled.:p
She was my first shiny and latias ever lol.

Well, technically it wasn't me who missed it, but my sister started a new game in SoulSilver (in Gen IV, you could start a new one without having to delete the previous, just without having the opportunity to save). She saw a shiny Geodude in one of the caves and caught it, but unfortunately, it wasn't allowed to save, so that shiny Geodude was lost forever... Or so I thought...

Years later, in my Pokemon Y, I encountered another shiny Geodude (yes, same Pokemon) in Victory Road (in a horde). I was so incredibly shocked I couldn't hold it in. Had I finally found the shiny Geodude we had abandoned all those years ago? (Of course not, this was Kalos not Johto -_-) So I now have it my Box. Not that I ever use it anyway. It's just there. xP

That has happened to me twice!
Once, in Pokemon White version, I caught a shiny Venipede! But then my friend started playing and turned the game off without saving... I was pretty mad!
The second time was when I first bought Pokemon: Soul Silver, I was in the beginning og the game where I couldn't buy any pokeballs yet, but then I found a shiny Kakuna in the grass!!! It made me so mad that I restarted again...
Ugh, those weren't my best days...

I missed a Safari Zone Nidoran Female in LeafGreen a few years ago. I threw a Safari Ball, and it ran away after that. I was upset, I almost made a bunch of noise during the study hall class I was in. :p

I've recently missed a shiny. It was a Shuppet in Mt. Pyre on Omega Ruby. I was EV training and I used sweet scent and found one in a horde. I wanted to have one for my box, so I sent in my Gloom. It had aborb and acid for it's move, so i went for acid. Sadly, I did not realize that it. hit all Pokemon. Level 44 against 5 Level 15 Shuppets. I was sad, so when I finished training, I was so depressed that I went to sleep. Sad Days.

In Pokemon Leafgreen, I missed a Shiny Vulpix. I almost cried as I ran out of Pokeballs.

i've never actually missed a shiny as i always have a pokemon with false swipe on my team, and i currently have exactly 73 quick balls, 48 ultra balls, and 3 master balls :cat:
