Favorite Classic Mario game?

My favorite Mario games were on the SNES; Super Mario World and Yoshi's Island ^_^

Paper Mario (obviously, the first one). I have replayed that game so many times that I've lost count. I actually feel like replaying now, speaking of which.

I would have to agree with Mikaya on this one. I loved all the little puzzles and finding the hidden passages in that game.

My favorite classic Super Mario game is Super Mario World, for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. I believe that was also the very first video game I ever played, actually.

I'd go with Super Mario 64, since it is truly one of the best Mario games ever made. Out of all the other games I've played, nothing comes close to how good it is and I really hope Nintendo makes something similar for the 3DS or Wii U (or both).

Super Mario bros 3 for the Super Nintendo ^.^ I used to play it like all the time! (And I'll admit I still do play it from time to time ;P its an amazing game!) I liked how the map was later out and the side scrolling was smooth and fun! I'm not sure if I ever did finish the game but I did play it a lot! So glad my SNES still works so I can play it when I'm in the Mario mood ;")

My favorite classic Mario game is Super Mario 64. This is one of my favorite games of all time. I love using the super star and flying. The coolest thing about this awesome game is that its a 3D action-adventure platformer game. Super Mario 64 best game ever to play.

I would have to say the Super Mario Land games or Super Mario Brothers For Super Players (Lost Levels on SMBDX). Super Mario Land is a great pick up and play game that has an original look and feel with great music and SML2 is closer to the NES games with interesting level designs (like the moon levels and tree sap you can move in) and some of these features never appeared in any other Mario game. SMBFSP is just a great way to make most out of the classic SMB experience and I you can choose which level you want (if you reached that level?).

My favorite classic Mario game is Super Mario Bros. 3 because it introduced lots of new power ups. It might be hard but the game is fun either way.

SNES Game I loved of Mario

Super Mario world for the sheer fun factor involved
and the music in the background.

Sure the game wasn't that hard, but it was an exciting journey to take nonetheless.
Flying with the cape was so cool too!

I've hardly played any Mario games but one that I have was Super Mario World. It's a great classic and it's just really, really fun to play! Every level was different and that just made it always intresting to play as each level had it's own life kinda.
