But Nintendo systems are more for kids and the family if you know what i mean
Going by that logic, only adults should have XBOXes and PlayStations, which is clearly not the case!

That's just a huge misconception that has appear lately. All Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft game systems are called "Entertainment Systems" for a reason, because they are for everyone! The stereotype that kids play on Nintendo systems while late teens and adults play on the rest is one of the most inaccurate stereotypes that has ever existed! Just because Nintendo has more 3+ or 7+ games, doesn't make it for kids! If it did, then why would every "gamer" (more like wannabe gamer) be so obsessed with PES, FIFA and the other games like that? They are 3+ too, but no one calls them kiddy games, just because of the graphics, so don't base your answer on a stereotype! Also, in Japan, Nintendo has licensed tons of gory or horror games! Just because they choose to promote family and group activity, that doesn't mean they get censored or anything! What decides whether a game is going to get a localization isn't just the company itself, so blame the ones that checked and censored or banned anything explicit Nintendo has made before it came to the US!

It's a guideline, and ussually i understand them, but pretty much anyone, definatly me (well now it doesn't matter for me anymore) ignores these. It's good when the parents actually look at these, would keep more of the screaming kids away from gta or your favourite shooter.

Ratings aren't the absolute best thing to go by when looking at a game, but they are somewhat helpful in determining whether or not the game is suited for a person. A game like Shantae technically contains partial nudity, yet because (as far as I know) there is no use of language, drugs, suggestive themes, or utter violence, the Shantae games are rated E10+.

Can we talk about melee being rated T but sm 4sh being E? If anything, smash 4 needs to be T. Also, some ratings on dancing games are ridiculous. You know something is wrong when you find a dancing game rated M
