I voted for Gen 6 on the poll and immediately regretted my decision ;~;

I would initially say Gen 6, because the 3D graphics really do look cool, but I sort of feel like the flat graphics were a defining characteristic of Pokemon games, so it's hard to choose.

Gen 4 graphics will always be my favorite. I have no idea why, but Gen 4's graphics and pacing mesmerized me the most when it first came out. Maybe I'm biased because Gen 4 is my favorite Gen.

I like the Gen 5 graphics a lot. While the newer games have beautiful styles, I used to be a spriter, and to do that you need sprites! I loved the Gen 5 graphics as well, as they were just so cute! I understand the jump from sprites to 3d models, but it's still a little disappointing.

Gen 5's graphics were very awesome. :) Especially in the actual battles. I used to love seeing the Pokémon move constantly on the battle screen.

I was OK with the older graphics but I prefer the Gen 6 graphics now, they're great. And the animations make it much better visually - even if they make the game more time consuming.

I prefer the older graphics because of the sprite style, the slightly boxy look made the world look a bit prettier for some reason. The characters also looked a lot 'cuter' and the sprites of the previous generations made it feel like Pokemon was still the same game we played and loved.

When I first saw the XY graphics, I was disappointed, because although everything was in 3D and looked a lot smoother, I was just worried that the traditional sprites had now gone. I thought it would be a shame, since sprites were a feature that made Pokemon what it was and it would look too different. In the end, it wasn't that bad I guess, but I would have still preferred it if they stayed with sprites.

well those kind of graphics i have no idea what ar they all about. i was raised with older bit graphics, it was a really good time. everything was easier and simplier. new generation graphics are of course the best one, but i am more an old school guy. both of them are great, just you have to find the pros and cons of every single one. best regards

Personally I prefer the older bit versions well because I think the newer versions look weird especially X&Y and ORAS like the characters are disproportionate and they look weird but at least the bit versions proportions made sense the thing I do like however is the Pokemon I do like how the Pokemon look like new instead of bit so for me bit characters but new Pokemon.

Personally I like both. The older bit graphics gave pokemon a real retro feel to it, even the black and white games, had a kind of retro feel to it and it kind of defined pokemon. However the transaction from 2D to 3D was quite good and the models looks fantastic so it's kind of hard to choose between the two

I like gen six graphics better than all the other ones. The graphics look really crisp and amazing with the 3ds. I didn't like the other ones because the pokemon always looked pixelated in battles and the character looked shrunk down but in 6 they fisnlly made the characters taller and the pokemon in battles clear. Now if only they could make this on wii u....
