Give DarkScot a medal.

He's been holding onto that mask for some time and it's natural that if he had any evil intentions, he would have done something with it by now. Instead the mask itself seems to have called the Skull Kid in order to escape the Happy Mask Salesman, otherwise it would be calling to him instead. Maybe it's been doing that for some time and he's resisted.

Lol thanks but ill settle for coins -jk

A lot of people in real life consider me creppy but im not evil

and the truth of the matter is you can be Dark natured, rude, ruthless, arrogant etc but does that make you evil?
Look at Groose in Skyward Sword is a jerk but he did it out of jealousy of Link opposed to being an evil villain (but many fans wanted him to be lol)

The Happy Mask Salesman is not evil, this man is a mood changing man who travels between Hyrule and Termina collecting masks to sell and make the world a happier place. Even though the salesman does hold Majora's Mask, he has no intentions of using it and even helps you turn back into a human by teaching you the song of healing!

I believe that the Happy Mask Salesman is misunderstood. In Majora's Mask, he is just trying to help you in a way, like returning you into your normal self rather than a Deku Scrub. He also taught you an important song known as the Song of Healing. It wasn't his fault that he was attacked by the Skull Kid and got his mask stolen.

While I will not disagree with the fact that the mask salesman is one weird character, I think that it is taking things a step too far to say that he is just outright evil. Just because he failed to keep Majora's Mask out of the wrong hands does not make him evil by default. Instead, it seems as if he would do anything he could to get it back form Skull Kid, in my opinion.
