Has anyone defeated the majoras mask without fierce deity form?

I have, it's pretty interesting to beat Majora without it. 
Fierce Deity is basically a reward for collecting all the masks there are before the final confrontation with Majora. You just go in, and basically fire beams through all the phases until victory.
When it's just Link, you basically have to utilize almost everything you have in your arsenal. It's very easy to die if you take the monster for granted, too. But if you stock up potions and faries, as well as some Chateau Romani, you should be fine.
