Hate on the 2DS

This has been an on going thing i have problems with in the gaming community. Im an avid nintendo collector and have at least 2 of each DS systems they have ever came out with. But i got the sea green and peach pink 2DS systems for my collection when they came out as they are limited. At the time i was using a limited eevee 3ds LL. But the feeling of the 2ds was so nice i made the switch and made it my main system.
But once i say that my main system is a 2DS the hate i get about this system is crazy.
I understand that the 2DS was for "kids" But its still a nintendo system. It does it's job. It opens up gaming to more people. And yes. It can be good for kids as it less breakable. But as someone who has been collection nintendo products since i can remember. i dont think the 2ds should be treated the way it does.
I dont think people understand the actual system. The size and button placement of the system makes weight distribution very nice for prolong play as im an adult and the 3ds and 3ds xl make my hands sore after a while. I dont have a portability problem as i always carry a bag with me. And even in woman's jeans it still fits in a back pocket. It is a preference thing. But im tired of seeing people say how stupid it is.
1st off. If you already have a 3ds, or dont have problems affording the regular 3ds systems, the 2ds is honestly irrelevant to you. And im tired of people comparing it to the micro gameboy. The micro gameboy came out at an odd time when he DS was already known about.
The 2DS has done nothing but boost nintendo's 3DS sales and put a system in the hands of more people and kids. Why do people still put so much hate on this system.

I don't understand the hate, it looks like a great layout, you still get the same quaslity of image.

I never saw it as a thing for kids as such, but an option for people who don't want the 3D function (tbh I don't use the 3D all that much on my 3DS). I love the design of it and was so tempted when it came out (with kids I can't exactly financially justify though).

Be proud of your purchases, I'm a little envious truth be told :)

Honestly, I have been hating on the 2DS quite a bit but I have never actually tried the system so I am starting to re-think my thoughts. Now that I think about it, the 2DS seems like a really good system actually. The fact that it is durable and does not mess up your hands is great. My only concern in the portability, but I guess that does not matter that much as people usually have bags and packs around they can easily use.

I appreciate this, and support it in every way since I also have a 2DS. It's not bad at all!

I think that it is a OK system the 3ds is awesome and the N3ds is better but the 2ds is just OK i dont hate it and i am not sure why people do, i think that they should just be ok with it and not get all mad.

the 2ds sistem is good for games like pokemon,ac,or new super mario bros...where the 3d is not necessary.
But if you try to play zelda a link between worlds you loose all the experience of the 3D and the game becomes so hard trust me.

Let's be honest, I used to be a 2DS hater me too when it was launched. Then, I understood what they wanted to do, and now, I start to think that's a good and cheaper alternative to the 3DS.

Also, it won't take some experience away from some games like Pokémon X/Y, since these games almost lack the 3D feature (only basic 3D feature in battle), and that's a plus, because users won't feel like they have a watered down version of the 3DS on these games.

2DS is amazing, because it have more durability than the others and i love that, i think its the best system to introduce to a newcomer more cheaper, and no 3D in some long games is better.

Some people complain about not having 3D, but the style of the handheld kind of makes up for it.

The 2DS is a bit smaller than the 3DS which I don't care about, but it has no 3D.

I think that the 2DS was a good idea, it's meant for little kids, not teens or adults, so stop complaining about it!

I love the 2ds more than the 3ds. The 3ds is nicer looking and all, but it has hinges, so it can break more easily. I've dropped my 2ds on concrete twice and have gotten so lucky and thankful >.<. I guess people don't like it because they prefer looks over durability.

I really hate the 2DS because it has terrible graphics and looks terrible and ugly' and it is not portable in your pocket so it is harder to store away.

I just thought it was a dumb idea at first, because I already had a 3DS (though I never use the 3D because it makes me dizzy at times), but after hearing good things about it, I'd say it's pretty cool. Of course, now I have a Wii U and a 3DS, and I have no plans on buying the 2DS or N3DS, but I don't hate them at all. You're right, they're marketing tools, and they help the 3DS immensely.

It is a very cheap and affordable price. That is why people are buying it. Problem is, if you drop it, you get a cracked screen.

I think the 2DS is cool you really don't have to worry about the top screen falling off like on other DS systems. I think people hate it because they may see it as a waste of time because you can completely shut off the 3D on the 3DS.

And they probably hated how it looks (I think it looks cool). I don't know but honestly my mom always don't knock it till you tried it. I personally would recommend it to anyone who is sensitive to the 3D.

Yeah, same thing here. Problem is, the 2ds lcd is fragile so it can break if you drop it and it has no protection. Overall though, it indeed is a good idea.
