Gen 6 I have never found a shiny Pokemon. Ever.

How much of a failure am I? Or do lots of people share this with me? :p

I've been focused on collecting all the Eevee evolutions. Just finished that last week. What else should I do after I beat Pokemon Y?
 
You're not a failure. Shiny Pokemon do not win battles over Wi-Fi, perfect IV Pokemon with good EV spreads do.

I got the shiny charm a couple of weeks ago, so finding shiny Pokemon in the wild for me has increased by a small percentage. Before I obtained the shiny charm, I hatched 2-3 shiny Pokemon and encountered 1 shiny in the wild.

Then again, I have over 700 hours invested in the game, :oops: (mostly IV breeding)

I gave my shinies away over Wi-Fi because I only keep shinies with perfect IVs that I hatched, :angelic:

But if you really want to catch a shiny, I recommend starting with 'chain fishing' :

haha not one bit if you consider yourself a failure then i would be one too :p never encountered a single shiny pokemon and I've never hatched one :p but i have gotten some from trade :p

got my first shiny yesterday on my way to inverse battle, a shiny gurrdurr :woot:
Its pure luck I guess (as I havent got the shiny charm or even doing chain battle) :whistle:

Shinys are not to important and some of them are ugly for example ones that i dont like: Shiny Azumarill, Shiny Dragonite, Shiny Swampert, Shiny Sharpedo and some more Shiny, also shinys may appear in game when you expect that they will not appear, its always like this or if you catch many pokemon in some area of the game many times you usually get a shiny luvdisc for example.

well i like shiny's :p because they are different , unique :p and you don't need shiny's :p a shiny after all won't help win a battle unlike a 6iv or 5 iv pokemon which you could get from @Wayne , @Marc or @D4rkDragon :p
they specialize in breeding so you could get some from them :p

Finding shiny Pokemon is never easy, so if you get really mad that you don't have one yet, it would be pretty normal (like how I never found a shiny in R/S up to B/W2)

Sorry. I don't have this problem. Get yourself one of them Shiny Charms. I think as Marc said though that IVs are more important.

Woah! Don't worry, I have never, ever found a Shiny Pokemon in the wild either(only Gyarados~doesn't count) and to be honest, I don't really care, don't let it make you feel like a failure. I'm gonna get the Shiny Charm sometime soon, but other than that it's just a different color for a Pokemon, as they raised the chance to see it in the wild in Pokemon X/Y, it's not all that special anymore. :)

Don't worry, you're not alone. I have played almost every Pokémon game and have NEVER encountered a shiny. Dx

The only shiny I've ever encountered aside from Red Gyarados, was a shiny Hoothoot. And I ran away from it because I was looking for a specific pokémon, and as the screen was fading I noticed it was a shiny and wanted to die.

I never found a shiny Pokemon either until Pokemon X/Y. This is where is started chain fishing and got Shiny magikarp, horsea, alomomola (whatever it's name is). I once tipped the photography guy and a wild shiny whismur appeared in the nearest cave. This game has been generous on me so far!
