If you could choose would you bring back pokemon trainer or ice climbers?

Personally i would choose pokemon trainer because then you have multiple pokemon to rely on. which then would give u more chances. also you could trade out and then you have a perfectly new pokemon ready for battle tell me what you think
 
Between the ICs and Pokemon Trainer, I would choose the ICs. Although they are most notable for their infinite chain grab, there other aspects that make them better than Pokemon Trainer.
When using ICs, it's like playing as two people at once with the same moveset. The Pokemon Trainer, on the other hand, requires you to time switching Pokemon, and forces you to recognize the moveset of each Pokemon, and any strategy between them. However, Pokemon Trainer can reset any stale moves, and ICs are at a huge disadvantage when Nana/pink (or Popo, depending on the color) are KOed, as their moveset will be very limited alone.
 
Ice climbers ftw. l had so much fun as them. They were just amazing to me. I'd be happy to see them return. As for PT, l never really play them. They aren't my style.
 
ice climbers FTW! besides, we already have charizard, so the PT might have some problems with his team :l also PT can't use a home run grab combo like the ice climbers :D
 
Poke trainer BUT with NEW pokemon instead of ivysaur and squirtle.

These new ones could be Sinnoh starters or some other region
 
Ice Climbers!!! I mean there is already one of the Pokeballs that spawns in Pokemon, and the Ice Climbers were really good! I don't think we need a pokemon trainer. There is Pikachu(Pokemon), and a Mewtwo (Pokemon) DLC! Overall I really just don't see the use of The Pokemon Trainer. Im going for Ice Climbers!
 
I think that my choice would definitely be the Ice Climbers when it's between those two. Xcaliber does make a good point that there's already Charizard as a playable character in the roster, so I guess that Ice Climbers is a better choice. They do add a unique strategic taste in their movesets so I'd see that a lot better.

Unless maybe that Pokemon Trainer had new Pokemon, then that totally change my choice to the Pokemon Trainer :D
 
That's a tough choice. I'd probably go with Ice Climers, mainly because I used them more then I ever used Pokemon trainer. I get why neither of them are back, but it'd have been cool to have both of them. Ice Climbers were amazing, and it was cool always being able to switch between three pokemon, each one suited for a special situation
 
I would probably. Both of them deserve their slot on the roster and both of them can be suitably revamped to fit the new mechanics. The Ice Climbers can be changed to a more Rosalina/Luma style and the Trainer could have 3 Pokémon but maybe use only one for a match or a stock?

I'd rather have the Ice Climbers come back. We already have Charizard, although I miss Pokemon Trainer. Maybe we'll get Ivysaur and Squirtle back, though I doubt it. I miss PT' s final smash :p

I'd choose Pokémon Trainer (I call him Red), I liked using the Pokémon and Squirtle was fun to play as not to mention he helped me win many tournaments and beat my friends multiple times. That's who I would choose.

If Sm4sh could handle it, I would say Ice Climbers, but the 3DS version, so I can't really see it happening. Plus, I don't think we need anymore returning veterans. I want the Smash Ballot to give us brand-new characters with unique movesets and playstyles.

The Ice Climbers is a good choice instead of the Pokemon Trainer because Charizard is his own character now. Sakurai should include the Ice Climbers on the Wii U, even if it isn't possible on the 3DS. It would make sense to add more content on the Wii U. That console isn't even doing well in sales to be frank.

Ice Climbers definitely. Chudat would like that too lol. We already have lots of pokem in smash 4 and we dont need any more xD. I would love to see them return because of that chain grab lol. And it would be cool to play in the ICs stage( omega version to slide everywhere lol.)

To be honest I don't know! between the ice climbers and the pokemon trainer they were both good!

If it was possible I'd say the Ice Climbers because technically there is no character to replace them and their playstyle. Then I would want Ivysaur and lastly Squirtle (basically a stronger Pikachu with water based attacks) because he'd just be like the Roy to Pikachu and I could see a lot of people using him.

Ice climbers definitely. All I want to see is 8-player smash with ice-climbers. That would make it a really chaotic 16-player smash.

Ice Climbers already can't come back because of technical limitations on the 3DS, and as he had perfectly working Ice Climbers on Wii U, Sakurai didn't want version exclusive characters so he cut them out.

Now Pokemon Trainer, well, we already have Charizard so they'd have to use another Pokemon or get rid of Charizard and put him with Pokemon Trainer, and I don't think Sakurai wants to do either of those.

...but without those problems I would pick Pokemon Trainer. I've never played as Ice Climbers so I can't really judge them.

Definitely Pokemon Trainer. Now I know that Charizard is now a stand alone character and that pretty much ruined the chances of having him back. We already have sufficient Pokemon characters in the game and that also killed him. If only we were able to remove Charizard, we could have the trio back.

IC didn't work on 3ds so Pokemon Trainor with new pokemon
