If you could choose would you bring back pokemon trainer or ice climbers?

As others have said, a remnant of Trainer exists in Charizard - and, regardless of that, Ice Climbers have seniority. I didn't like playing Icies in Melee nor in Brawl but the roster just feels wrong without 'em, and it's a bit saddening that not just the character but their playstyle got unavoidably stricken from the game entirely with no replacement (which is the same situation with Snake - sure, take out the character if you have to, but don't destroy a perfectly good playstyle). My hope was that with the New 3DS there would've been an excuse to bring them back in and shrug at the consequences because it's pretty much the equivalent of pressing a button to print money, but I guess not.
While I know full well Sakurai doesn't want version-exclusive characters, with no crossplay there's no real reason for it besides design philosophy. Wouldn't mind if that decision got overridden. Love the game, but man, having to deal with 3DS limitations really did hold it back.

Personally i would choose pokemon trainer because then you have multiple pokemon to rely on. which then would give u more chances. also you could trade out and then you have a perfectly new pokemon ready for battle tell me what you think

Ice Climbers will be a better choice since we have a lot of pokemon already on smash plus pokemon trainer will be cheering all over the place being a distracting background guy. (so distracting...) (remembers that day on brawl)

Well ice climbers I don't really like even though you fight with two people at the same time and is pretty broken but has its weaknesses like being seperated will hurt you really bad so you cannot get seperated with ice climbers because if the pink one im pretty sure dies a stock goes away if the blue dies i forgot. But pokemon trainer i would say i want back because of all of the different moves and combos he can pull of with the multiple pokemon but will have to change from kanto to unova or something like that because charizard is his own mon now.

I would say Ic because they have nice costumes,really good in combat,and more.Nintendo could make them dlc or put them in a update as free

I would want to have Ice Climbers back. When it comes to Smash Bros, I'm a fan of the small child characters, like Ness, Lucas, and Toon Link. Ice Climbers would've been a cute addition to them, especially because I'm collecting all the small children amiibo. I kind of hope they come back as Wii U/New 3ds DLC, but at the same time, I can't see that happening without severe backlash from people who only own a 3ds. I would be one of those people, but I'd just pick up an Ice Climbers amiibo and be happy with my small Smash children.

Ice Climbers! They were a great duo! Everything was great about how them, they were the perfect amount of speed, power, and defense to them. They were just great overall!
