I'm not very good with acronyms. There's this one time way back my classmates said "ICYMI" and I was so baffled. I said "what's that?" and they said "It means In Case You Missed It, don't you know what that means?" and I walked home thinking, about why people abbreviate long phrases if the acronyms had the same amount of syllables. Why don't they just say the phrase? I get it if it's texting so that you don't waste time, but why say the acronym in a conversation with a person in front of you? I've always found that frustrating.
