I don't know if I'm still eligible to answer this as it's been well over a year since I bought the game and I'm still time traveling... 
Nah, but for real. I've had the game for a good long while and time traveling hasn't ruined it for me. I mean except for the time I was careless and my favourite villager left me. ;_; didn't play the game for a week haha. I don't feel like time traveling burns me out of the game any faster though. In fact if time traveling wasn't an option I'd probably play the games less.

I have the game since 2013 and nowadays I don't play it as much as before 
, I have played it for almost 200 hours but the fact is also the time, now I started the university so I don't have the same time to play as I before, but some days I can't stop playing it and other days I don't even open the 3DS it's like seasons of addiction of the game
