I think its easy to play jt on the handheld (3DS) because i can really focus on the handheld and move easier on there.

The 3DS was easier for me to control however I've only played the Wii version a few times and the GCN version. The Wii wheel was the hardest just because of motion controls for turning and wheelies and tricks required special movement. I think comparing the 3DS to GCN though it's unfair to say it's easier to control but in a way it is easier to control on the 3DS because they added more stats like handling and tricks so it would be easier for a high handling kart to be easier to control. The GCN was just difficult to me because of the 3D bumps on the track and the camera orientation behind the kart.

yeah the wii wheel is the hardest!

Not that I really did play Mario Kart on the Wii much except for this one time at a friend's . I think that Mario Kart is a lot easier to play on handhelds such as the Nintendo 3ds since the interface is more easier to implement and yeah , Using the Wii was pretty hard for me at first :p

Mario Kart on the 3DS is ok and is ok to control overall, the Wii wheel is weird because you actually have to spin it and I wouldn't recommend it, (Although I was on a cruise when I used a Wii Wheel so I wouldn't know exactly xD) and I think that the Wii is easiest to use for me because it feels more natural.

When I play Mario Kart on the big system I use the GameCube controller so I would say the handheld version would be easy because it's similar in controls and not to mention were closer to the screen which makes the track easier to see.

I think that that the 3ds is more easier to control. Controls are very smooth to use and very easy to drift in the game. I do not like the wii because it is a stick and also i dont like to use the wheel because it is very awkard to use.

I think for me it would probably have to be the Wii remote (wiimote) but then it would probably
Be the handheld wii u pad and then the 3dsl and then the ds but all of the controls for mario kart are pretty different and everyone has there own opinions but yes I agree the handheld can be good cause you don't have to look at the screen especially if you have people walking past it and they don't even know they maDE YOU CRASH! The next day at gamestop why are you trading this in my family made me crash.

I think the handheld is easier for me because I have had more experience on handhelds. It's also a lot smaller so I feel like I'm in more control. On the DS, there's a bottom screen so it's much easier to see what items your opponents have. You can also see who's in your vicinity in addition to any items coming for you.

I play MK7 on 3Ds and really enjoy it. It's really easy to control, the analog works really well for that type of game I guess? Though I didn't try another racing game on 3Ds.

I like playing MK8 on Wii U a lot. The GamePad is a pretty simple controller to use for the game. I played MKWii using Wii Remote + Nunchuck, which was pretty simple as well. I like handheld Mario Kart a lot too, mostly for the ease of control like in MKDS or MK7.

I would have to say with the wii wheel because it just doesnt feel right. You dont need to turn and twist if it is just a game lol. But the 3ds version is easy as well! There are many ways to play mario kart easily. And I prefer the wiiu gamepad or the gamecube controller because they are just so simple

Using the Wii Wheel on Mario Kart Wii was really good for me but on Mario Kart 7, i have a lot of trouble moving the kart since i move a lot (especially while in on a road trip trying to play mario kart 7 on a car). although i'm sure you'll get used to it once you play with it for a while. (IMO, i love the handheld mario kart since i can bring the game with me while my parents are driving.)

I didn't play it on the Wii but tried 3Ds and Wii U, and didn't see much difference in the controls actually. None of them gave me a hard time, it was quite enjoyable!

Personally, I liked the wii wheel best xD I like how you had to actually turn like a steering wheel. I guess it enhanced the experience for me. The Mario Kart 7 controls were pretty easy to use as well. As for Mario Kart 8, I still prefer the wii wheel controller instead of the wii u pro controller or the gamepad.

I personally like it better on wii because it is easier to control and to drove the karts. The steering is simpler and the controls are much more fluid and stable. The handheld can become shaky and unstable if you are not careful, and this has cost me many a race over time. These are just some of the reasons that I prefer the wii versions of mario kart over the handheld versions of mario kart for the dis and 3ds,

The wii mote alone is a nightmare to control. The motion controls just doesn't cut it for precise drifting and all.
Other than that, both have decent controls. I like the Wiimote combination and GC controller, but the HH can suffice other than possibly the buttons wearing off. t.t

If we're looking at this on a similar note to a debate regarding Mario Kart Wii VS Mario Kart 7,I would say the 3DS is my most prefered "control option" to play.I feel like sometimes,Mario Kart Wii's controls can be a bit slippery and tight depending on the track, while Mario Kart 7 doesn't have the need to use motion controls and you can use that option alternatively. If we're going with Mario Kart 7 VS Mario Kart 8 though,I would choose the Wii U's Mario Kart because the GamePad feels confy on your hands while playing, and does have great response and the right amount of tightness.

Well, you are allowed to use either a nunchuck combination, or gamevube controller, if you prefer to do so. I find it easier to use a nunchuck combination on the wii and play that, but i think mario kart 7 is infinitely better. It feels like there's more to do and unlock than on wii as you get ranks for cups. It's fun to get 3 stars for everything. I would also be in favor of the 3ds version, as it has online.

Back when I first got Mario Kart Wii, I did well playing with motion controls. Now, I would much rather use the Nunchuck, especially after playing Mario Kart 7. There's just a lot more control to the kart than tilting. Although I do enjoy shaking the Wii Remote to do a trick in midair, in comparison to pressing the drift button in Mario Kart 7.
