Is Nintendo starting to favor Rosalina more?

Never been much of a fan of Rosalina.. but I definitely think she's getting favoured too much.

It was okay in the Mario Kart series to have her in the roster, because it was an extra, cool thing to have. But having her in smash was a step too far imo, as it effectively meant that many other characters (who many feel deserve the spot more) were neglected. E.g. Waluigi. Many people want Waluigi as a character but he still isn't. Atleast he's an assist trophy I spose.

I can atleast appreciate that in-and-of-itself, Rosalina is unique and interesting character with her moveset.

I think they favor Toadette more. Othewise, we would be seeing Rosalina in Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam.

I honestly hope not because I wasn't keen on her in her debut (Mario Galaxy - I think). She just doesn't work like Daisy, Peach and Pauline.

She isn't that bad in spinoff [ish] games like Mario Kart because you don't see her as what she was in Galaxy... The whole idea of a supernatural [ish] being, didn't work (Even if Nintendo can get away with the line 'Warping through time and space, King Bowser appears!'). <-- 4 pieces of punctuation in a row!

I do believe that Rosalina is starting to be favored more by Nintendo. While the game is a bit old, she was a very viable and useful character as her spin jumped helped her (Especially on Champion's Road and getting her character stamp). She also started the trend with her receiving her own course in mk7: Rosalina's Ice World.

And now we get to smash, where Nintendo decided to make her one of the top 3 players in the game. I'm surprised she doesn't have her own game at this point. Maybe she'll be important to a future Mario Platformer or 3D game. Who knows

I think that Nintendo has definitely began to favor Rosalina more than they used to. After her appearance as a secret playable character in Super Mario 3D World, it seems like Nintendo has put her in every other Mario game since then, from Mario Kart to Smash Bros.

I think they favor Rosalina more because she is newer than most of the cast, and people are sick of playing as toad instead has a lot more potential because of that. I mean, we could've had Waluigi in smash, but nope, we got her instead. Nintendo could also just be trying to get the people who don't like rosalina to like her, by putting her in every game they make now.
