Think about it is it dying like puzzles and dragons z super Mario edition maybe the Mario series should pass into the next life because right now he doesn't belong here like 3d world was good but kinda not just think about Mario is dying on his death bed with peach

I wouldnt say it is dying. They are running out of new ideas though. He has ben around for a long time and has ben in about everything at this point

The Mario Series has become modernized, but it's definitely not dying since people are still buying. The Mario Franchise is alive as ever, and I don't think that it will die off any time soon. I'd ask this question for a franchise like Metriod. xD

what's metroid

nah just kidding i know that

The Mario series isn't dying at all. A whole ton of people still buy and Nintendo has still been making new awesome Mario Kart games and Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition. In Korea and places like that, A lot of new games that have not come over to the US yet have been made.

It would be kinda hard to believe that the Mario series would be dying :p so I wouldn't say so . There are still Mario stuff that Nintendo is probably working on and lots of people still like and play the series games :p It'd be horrible to think that the series would die

Well thanks yo Mario he stopped video games from dying

Not really. Mario is just in Puzzles and Dragons to promote Puzzles and Dragons. Mrario has plenty of spin-off games but I doubt Nintendo is running out of ideas for Mario. Mario Maker is a pretty fresh idea so perhaps Nintendo has plans for other series to have "Maker" titles. Mario is also one of the best selling series Nintendo has.

I wouldn't say that just yet, if he does die it's not my fault I think Mario has a whole lot in store for us it's just taking time to get to our lands with translating and all. I think something big is in store for us, with Zelda and Pokémon getting big hype games only fair for the mascot to get something huge. I think that's why Mario hasn't had anything new.

He will never die. He is my hero. Plus, the developers are still making a mario game. A new 3d mario game is coming out on the wii u and there is dr.mario comming out on the 3ds. He is a mascot, he will never die. If they release too much mario games, people will think he is getting milked, and the developers want the mario games to be really good so it takes them a while. Look at the dev team chart:

That doesn't sound right.Like,Mario, the one who redefined and saved videogames in full grace on the early years of the decade of 1980,falling his legacy down?No offense or anything, but that sounds like something a Nintendo hater would say.
Sure,it does have some marks of age,but if Mario dies, than I'm guessing that Nintendo dies too,in a way similar to Mega Man with Capcom in a way.It just woudn't be the same thing without plumbers saving princesses and crazy races with shells and bananas. :writing:

It died long ago. Nintendo just doesn't want to realize it. I wish they come up with something new and original instead of rehashing old stuff again and again.

Heh heh. Well Mario is not dying. Super mario 3d world is completely new and sold a lot. What about mario kart 8? You never talked about that. Half the wii u owners own mario kart 8. Mario has gotten spin offs such as mario tennis on the 3ds and mario party games, which sold really well. Mario is not dying, no way. The fact is, many people buy mario. I buy anything with marios face planted on the cover, heh. The truth is, mario started with nintendo so nintendo will end with mario.

The guy's been around for over 25 years and I think it's time to let him go. Sad to say this about Pokemon too but it's time for our newer Nintendo characters like Shulk, Robin, Kid Icarus, and the Puzzle Dragon characters to become our new main focus to Nintendo. But I think it's okay to release a Mario every half decade.

Maybe they can still release mario games but introduce diffrent type of games instead. Maario is nintendos mascot afterall so he shouldn't be let go.

I don't think Mario is ever going to die because in 1980, Mario helped video games stay in the media. Think about it, if Mario wasn't created, We wouldn't have any video games, such as Pokemon, Metroid, Kid Icarus. So in my opinion, Mario will never die.
