The Mario series is not dying at all really, just they need more ideas. They made 3d marios, Mario crossovers, he has been in smash bros, computer games and much much more. But the Mario franchise is still hyped about his games and are still buying it.

No. I do not think that the franchise is dying. Every mario game that nintendo makes it gets like five stars on the eshop. I will continue to get mario games and keep supporting nintendo. But i think that some mario games are not needed. Two are mario golf and mario tennis. I played the mario golf demo and it was really not that fun to play.

No, it is certainly not dying. They're making brilliant games like 3D Land and Maker and they are selling millions. Each Mario game has this fantastic charm which is hard to find in other games. As long as Mario games are selling well you can't say that the series is dying.

I believe that the Mario series is not dying. I believe that Nintendo does know what they are doing with Mario, but it seems that they are running low on ideas. It seems like Nintendo is just reshipping the same game all over again yearly. The only thing that seperates every Mario game is the items and design.

When you say next life, do you mean Mario F2P games? Even worse, Mario puzzle F2P games? Honestly, if it does move on to "a next life" as you said and just becomes puzzle and f2p games, this series will most likely be dead to me. Mario is one of the best platformers, when you want to play a good platformer, you always go for Mario. I don't see why Mario is dying or that they'll need to change the formula, it's perfect the way it is.

Mario definitely is not dying XD In the town I live almost everyone plays Nintendo games with Mario in it. Even if the game is crappy, people will continue to buy it just because it is Mario and it will be considered a collectable. Plus, look at the amiibos and see how well those are selling. Everyone will keep buying Mario franchise and I doubt it will be dying anytime soon thanks to Nintendo's devoted fans who spend every cent of their earnings on this stuff XD

How could you possibly assume this? Mario has had more sales than ever recently, with awesome releases like Siper Mario 3D world and Mario Kart 8. Sales sre booming, snd nintendo still makes money off everyone's favorite franchise. It is very safe to assume as long as nintendo is still alive and they are still making games to enjoy, our two fsvorite plumbers and their franchise won't go under.

Many people don't like the Mario series as much than they used to like the old Mario games, but you can't say that the series is dying. Many people still purchase and enjoy the Mario series as much as ever. And the series won't die. Mario is the mascot of Nintendo after all.

Also, with Super Mario Maker, there is no chance of the Mario series dying anytime soon.

I wouldnt say it is dying. They are running out of new ideas though. He has ben around for a long time and has ben in about everything at this point
I would agree. Also did anyone notice how they copied theario paper game and made an exact one just with more paper things. Yah they need new and cooler ideas. If you look at all there games though they aren't dyeing because of Mario party and Mario karts. That's keeping them alive right now.

I don't think Mario is dying. Nintendo just like to make easy money by the most famous mascot in the world. Plus Nintendo recently did 3d Mario games so if the original 2d platformers have been around 26 years before the first 3d platformer mario game. So 3d Mario games will be around for at least 26 years

Mario games have become modernized and not much else has happened. There really isnt many new things besides a few powerups here and there. I don't know if it will die or not to be honest.

It's not dying per say, but the innovation of Nintendo (especially in the Mario department) is dying. They're not thinking as hard as they did back in the day. Not to mention the fact that lots of the original board for the game is gone. People have left Nintendo, meaning that no two games will be the same. The first game and the 3rd game are both different in many ways.

They have covered every topic, from time travel (Partners in time), Alternative universes (Various), Rebirth (SMG). They are simply running out of ideas. Start thinking Nintendo. Wake up...
