I recently found this game called Animal Crossing: New Leaf, and it looks childish and it probably is but I am wondering if it is any good. If you have heard of it or played it please let me know if it is any good. I am really needing to know if I should get it for someone or not, but I really just don't know if I should give it to them or not.
Please let me know if you are someone who has played this game or heard of it.
Thank you.

First thing about Animal Crossing: New Leaf: Adults play it as well (and enjoy it very much), so that tells you something lol. Animal Crossing: New Leaf is a great game for anyone, really. It's easy to quickly get the hang of and there's a lot you can do as well! This game is a great substitute for a gift and I would highly recommend it!

It's a good game, but if the person in question wouldn't have the time to come back to this game often, then it would recommend another game probably.

It is a great game! I played it for 1 year but now I'm getting kinda bored of it but the online is great and it's really fun. This game has day and night feature. I think it's 34.99 now I'm not sure

It takes control of your life for a few weeks :p

yes it is a awesome game and if yuo get it now( in the summer) there are a lot of things to do also then you will be able to get all the bugs and fish ect. but yea adults play it also, there is a thread at gamefaqs called old people club or something like that and only people above 30 can trade so yea a lot of people who are not kids play also .

It's a fantastic game (IMO)! There's A LOT of content within Animal Crossing: New Leaf, and honestly if you don't keep yourself motivated into creating your Dream Town and House, you would get bored of the game quickly. I've been playing it since February (I believe), and I have experience moments when I get tired of it, but I always feel like there's room for improvement, so I try to keep my town/house in tippy top shape! From paying off endless loans, and gathering funds for your next project, I assure you this game would keep you entertained for a while. I think it was a great purchase, I don't regret buying it at all!

I've never actually played an animal crossing game (sadly) but I do know quite a bit about it! It is somewhat like harvest moon (except harvest moon is based on owning a farm, which you do own in multiple animal crossing games, but you own a city rather in ACNL) it looks fantastic and I'm almost sure its not childish!

Yes it is. I've played it and believe me it is addicting. Just shaking down trees for fruit to get bells so I can upgrade my house sucks me in. Somehow. While it does look childish, adults play it too. If your friends have it, you can play with them as well! It's nice.

As many people so far have said, even people who are 30+ play this game. It's really fun and addicting for all ages.

If you're like me and play things in spurts, you may grow tired of it for a while, but more likely than not you'd be going back to it soon.

Despite age. the depth of things you can do in this game are crazy. Honestly unlike any other game.
You can always catch me in my college cafe playing AC:NL.
I know people well over 30, 40, even 50 who love this game.

My favorite 3DS game EVER is Tomodachi Life, so I decided to get Animal Crossing: New Leaf. AC:NL is great and fun and has many activities to keep you busy (I've heard people have logged over 300 hours for this game) but I still like Tomodachi Life better, but AC:NL is still fun and awesome.

For my own sanity I am never gonna check how many hours I've logged on that game :D

Its a matter of opinion; if you like life sims, you will enjoy the game. If you like animals, you will enjoy the game as well. But if you like life sims and animals, you're gonna be playing for a few million hours straight. I highly recommend it, but it can get boring after a year. Really long time period.

New Leaf is certainly an enjoyable experience. I loved City Folk like it was my life, so this was a perfect Nostalgia trip for me. You can easily log up to weeks or months worth of hours on it. But since Pokemon X and Tomodachi Life came out, I rarely have the time to go back to it. I still go back to it now and then, but now my niece plays it whenever she visits, and my town's a bit messy now. XD
