Let's play a Nuzlocke!

Which game would you like to see me go on A Nuzlocke run through?

Today while I was cleaning out my drawer, I stumbled upon my collection of GBA and DS games. So I had an idea. Why not start a Nuzlocke? With this in mind I just had to decide which game to start my Nuzlocke run in, so I wanted to ask you guys for your opinions. :rotfl:
(For those of you who don't know what a Nuzlocke is: http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Nuzlocke_Challenge)

A run through of the game with special rules to make it hard.
Mainly:
  • A Pokémon is considered dead if it faints, and is permanently boxed or released.
  • You can only catch the first Pokémon you encounter in an area.

If this thread gets Positive feedback, I'll continue it by posting an update every now and then to show my progress through the Nuzlocke. :giggle:
 
Nuzloke challenge are pretty hard as I don't have completed a single nuzloke challenge. If you want do nuzloke challenge ycou may go upon white 2 as it hard to catch pokemon, gym may destroy your nuzloke challenge and their are many rivals.

I've managed to complete a Nuzlocke once, but that was in Y, and Y is pretty easy. I was thinking of trying something hard. So White 2 on challenge mode might be fun. :giggle:
 
If there was Emerald I would vote that as an emerald Nuzlocke i did was one of the hardest challenges in Pokemon I have ever done (apart from a White Wedlocke i did)

Anyways I wish you the best of Luck on your Nuzlocke Challenge :D
 
I've never done a Nuzlocke before, but it sounds fun and challenging!
I have Black 2 With no i-care-about savefile, so this thread gave me the idea to start my first Nuzlocke!
I also have Platinum and every game after that.
I'd be glad to be your "partner" throughout the adventure if you want :p
 
Soul Silver, also don't forget to nickname your Pokemon, possibly after members here as 3DS Pedia?

Im of course a Gallade, or a dog pokemon like Lilipup etc. If i have my starter as Oshawott, It has to be called after paceygym :p

the older games are more difficult and i ha the feeling fire red was more difficult than sapphire so i voted for that. But would white2 on challange mode be more difficult, dont know, going to stick with my vote.

White 2 Challenge mode is just that A More Difficult run,and yes,it would be a bit harder

Wow, that's a very cool (and difficult) sort of challenge.

I voted for FireRed on the GBA because it was my first Pokemon game and of sentimental value to me and I'd like to see what you make of it :D

Congratulations on rediscovering your GBA/DS games :cat:

yeah, the trainers pokemon will be higher level whilst those you catch won't be, on the other hand that means more exp as well. (I just got ORAS fresh in the back of my head, with me just being 30 lvls higher because you got so much exp/ trainers lvls didn't go up fast enough)

Challenge mode also means that gym leaders have like one extra Pokémon, and all trainers carry items. It's not exactly going to be easy. ^^

On another note, I've no idea which one the 10th vote was, and we're at 14 now. So I'll just let it go up to 20.

I voted FireRed, since the older games are more difficult to do Nuzlocke with. You'll end up using a Rattata and whatnot. :giggle: In Y, legendaries are just running around randomly in the wild, resulting in a fairly easy time.

ow really, didn't know that, i did however never turned off challenge mode on my black 2 and took items on trainers for granted. Still it feels like the older games where more difficult so i'll keep my vote, maybe this might have been with me getting older.
