if there will ever be a female link i think they should have a separate environment for her, not with the normal zelda formula.not trying to be sexist but i think a male link fit the zelda games. If IF there is a female link i hope that they make a unique game specifically for the female link.again not trying to be sexist.

i do support the idea though, nintendo has taken some leaps with the franchise before and hey have turned out great

I think they should give us the option but keep the voice the same. I want to see a female link yelling "HYAAAAH" in a women's body. Just kidding. I don't want a female link actually. I like it the way it is and adding a female link...would change the series a lot.. >.< (sorta...)

Yeah, who knows, eh? Maybe Nintendo already has something in the works. I really hope they do, because I think that a game like that would be awesome.

I'd love for Zelda to save Link.

I think that is poetic justice.......and having been married for almost 29 years......I know there have been different times that my wife has had to come to my rescue....I am just saying!

I'd love for Zelda to save Link.
Maybe it could be like Super Princess Peach except with the loz world and characters

Ehh.... No.
For a couple of reasons.
1. I think that Nintendo has polished their characters so well that changing some of them (even as a different character, though it is still Link) could upset people.

2. LOZ pretty much always gets 20/10 and are great games, but a female Zelda could ruin that and wont appeal to many people.

3. There is only so much you can do to link, make him into a wolf or a weird tree person, gotta limit how much you change a character since the Zelda universe is already confusing for some

Yeah I really have been hearing many stuff about a female Link and the idea isn't really that bad really and it would really be neat in Hyrule Warriors since it is a spin off and not really having to do with the main series . Seriously it would really be weird in the main series but it isn't at all that but maybe it is just that Nintendo isn't doing well in trying to find a good way to have her without losing fans and their interest as well as the main point in any Zelda game

Wait but isn't the hero of time male anyway? Like @Jacknoir12 said it probably wouldn't fit in the main timeline

I think that finally giving the girl gamers a chance in the iron boots is a good idea, but I have a few concerns. My first issue is that the fans might oversexualize the character. My second issue is that the developers might make the character weaker than the original Hero of time, and that could cause a decrease in sales of the game to girls. However, if this does happen, I have a quick thought. Maybe throughout the story in later games you will meet up with your brother/sister and battle them for Rupees and exclusive items, like the rival trainers in Pokemon!
