Well, chances are that Magikarp would be at terminal velocity by the time it hit you, so just calculate that.Well actually, Magikarp isn't the weakest Pokemon, because it has the potential to kill someone. Yes, it can kill someone.
Want to know how? Well, I'm kind of stealing this explanation off of some Youtube video here, but Magikarp weighs 22 pounds, roughly 10kg. Now that's actually quite heavy if you think about it; not horribly heavy, but you wouldn't want to be carrying it on your shoulder throughout your adventure (it's quite big too, at 90cm, but that doesn't hugely matter at this point).
Now, in it's Platinum and BW Pokedex entries, it is stated that 'A Magikarp living for many years can leap a mountain using Splash.' Although this contradicts a few other entries that claim it can jump 7ft (still pretty high at 2m). Now, considering how tall mountains are, and estimating that most mountains are higher than 3000m above sea level, imagine a Magikarp jumping that high. Now imagine that 10kg weight falling from that height. (I would calculate the force but I don't want to get too scientific here)
Now, if that Magikarp was to fall on the ground from that height, it would certainly dent it considerably. It would die too. HOWEVER, imagine if that Magikarp was to fall on a person. It would most likely kill them. That sort of unbelievable force on someone's head would be fatal. The Magikarp would also die but, that goes to prove, that Magikarp isn't weak. Even though it dies in the process, it can take someone out along with it. There are other Pokemon that could probably take that thanks to their immense mass and weight, or because they are Ghosts, but any ordinary human couldn't.
That goes to show, Magikarp aren't that weak \/
"magikarp mega evolved into megakarp! megakarp used dimensional splash! the entire universe was destroyed!"I think Magikarp should get a mega evolution, and during that mega evolution, he learns an extra move that replaces splash... just an idea. or maybe they should give splash a use... maybe if used after rain from rain dance ends, something awesome happened? But I think feebas is about as terrible as magicarp. but to be fair, their evolutions are both pretty awesome! and as dragovian said sunkern is worse... and it's magikarp's speed is okay. I guess. Though sunkern has all 30's and magikarp has some lower than that, It's stat total is 200, where as sunkern's is only 180.
feebas is also the same base stat total as magikarp, meaning sunkern has the lowest base stats of all pokemon so far. (they will probably make a pokemon with lower base stats at somepoint. for the sake of it.
Pokemon Y pokedex entry for magikarp - "In the distant past, it was somewhat stronger than the horribly weak descendants that exist today." This is one reason I think they should make a mega evolution for magikarp. and give it a base stat total of hmm... maybe... 400? or make magikarp fossil, and call make the magikarp that comes out a better magikarp then the regular one.
It's not very effective..."magikarp mega evolved into megakarp! megakarp used dimensional splash! the entire universe was destroyed!"
"shuckle was burned! shuckle took damage from the burn! shuckle fainted!"It's not very effective...
Shuckle's Sturdy kept it from fainting.

one does not simply survive a burn at 1 hp.one does not simply change the dialogue of a pokemon battle.
