Whaaat? Anyone who says Magikarp is bad is dumb. I mean sure Magikarp it's self is terrible but if you have one it can evolve into something greater which is Gyarados. While Magikap is crapp and learns it's first attacking move at level 15 Tackle and evolves at level 20 and takes a lot of EXP to level up it has the HA Rattled which is bad as Magikarp but when it evolves into Gyarados it becomes Moxie which is very good wth a Gyarados since it can learn Dragon Dance.

Sunkern and kricketot (bad spelling I know) have lower base stat totals and cannot get some of the epic egg moves that magikarp can.

Even Smogon says so: There is no excuse for using Magikarp, at all. All comedy value in using it disappeared by about 1998, and anyone who finds it funny deserves to be fed Rare Candy until they get diarrhea.

That's mean Dx Poor Magikarp. It's sad because even in ORAS, the PokeDex says it's useless .-.
