The only problem with online play is the fact that it is unfair. People can be very competitive. One time on rainbow road, I got so close to the finish line, when I got hit by a blue shell. Than A red shell came right after that.

Yeah, one tip is to have some items ready so when a unfair person tries to hit you with a red shell, you would always have an item ready to block it.

What I like? Mario Kart 7 is a good game for 3ds. The objects are fun, the course also.
What I dislike? The graphics of this game is not bad but they can do a little best. The maximal players of this game is 8 but I prefer it was 12 or 10...

This is my main issue with Mario Kart in general. I consider myself a very competitive person when it comes to the games and the lack of a no items worldwides playlist is quite disheartening. They can't seem to balance items well enough for it to be fair.

I have no idea why they don't have No Item wws, not everyone likes to play in tournaments and communities for points instead of vr to play without items

I love that game I also glad they add 3d to that game thanks Nintendo

I believe this was Rosalina's first playable appearance, though sadly I lost my cartridge shortly after buying the game..I believe someone at school was quite happy. It was a pretty sad day when I realized I had lost it...

Anyway, yeah, this game is great, and while this thread is almost a year old, and we have Mario Kart 8 now, I still really love this game, and wish I had never lost it.

We could set up a community if we have enough people.
If we set up a MK7 Community on the game, I'm totally in!!!
I just love this game so much! There are lots of cool courses and tracks in this game. Rainbow road is the best in the Mario Kart series. It just has sections making it be like one huge lap. It is pretty cool if you ask me. Also it is portable and has really good graphics. Online is really fun and connects to the internet fairly quick. Let us set up a community and see who is the best!
I have set up two 150cc Mario Kart 7 Communities and two Battle Communities entitled "3DSPedia," "3DSPedia NoItems," "3DSPedia Balloon," and "3DSPedia Coins." Here are the codes if you want to join:
All Items: 51-4107-8953-3367
No Items: 62-1739-7757-7063
Balloon Battle Mode: 41-88845-5207-0796
Coin Runners Mode: 13-6107-8236-1248

Great game, smooth gameplay. It's Mario Kart in your pocket:woot:
Only downside, few charecters.
What do you mean "few characters?" There are plenty! Half of them (Including Lakitu Metal Mario, etc.) are unlocked by beating a 150cc cup in Grand Prix mode.

This is, in fact, not Rosalina's first appearance as a playable character, I believe she was in Mario Kart Wii(The Official Website for Mario Kart 7 didn't say Rosalina was new, so...).

I like mario kart. I've played it at school on my friend's ds. For a good hour :D

Yeah, I'm happy that Nintendo brought in some new things to their game to refresh fans. :)

Honestly I am a Mario Kart fanatic. My 1st one was Double Dash and I've loved Mario Kart ever since. As far as handhelds Mario Kart 7 was my favorite. Being able to customize your kart rather than having a set amount of karts/specific karts like in Mario Kart Wii or Double Dash. As far as characters I mostly prefer lightweight characters mostly for handling and acceleration. What about you?

Yes, I agree, I love the kart customization thing. It gives the game more variety, as there are quite a bit more options as far as balancing goes.

Character-wise, I prefer to play as Rosalina (I have since Mario Kart Wii). I just love the character, and I seem to do pretty great with her. But before that, I played as Toad, until I unlocked Rosalina.

I like how it is acctually challenging to unlock stuff, at the end, like with getting thousands of coins cor golden parts. I have the golden wheels but what is the number of coins needed for the golden glider and frame

I just started a new file for Mario Kart 7 on my new 3DS. I know it may be old but I've still got the track layouts clear in my head which was a surprise since I haven't played it in a while As far as characters I prefer the feather and lightweight class. The only character I'm a little surprised by is Honey Queen. As far as I know the only game(s) she appeared in was the Galaxy series Anyone else curious let me know

It was an epic game, of course... I want to get my own 3DS for playing MK7, but I'm still playing my girlfriend's 3DS for now.

Yeah, it's just really one of those games that can be out for a while and still fun. I'm actually playing the game right now. If you do decide to get a 3DS, definietly get Mario Kart! :)

Yeah, that was a bit odd, but the Koopalings are in MK8 and there are characters that deserve a spot more than they do so..it happens. I really wish Toadsworth would come to a Mario Kart. He's so under-credited and he'd be a great fit.

I guess they wanted to give that character some more exposure. Maybe, to surprise some people. I'm sure they'll continuing mixing it up in future games.
