The code is redeemable until November 30 of 2016 in any american copy of Pokémon X, Y, OR & AS that hasn't redeem it yet

The auction starts at 5PC and each bid must be 2 PC or higher

The auction ends in August 20 at 2:00 PM (3DS Pedia time)

You are NOT allowed to cancel your bids, think carefully before you bid please

But not everyone can get access to a Gamestop, or maybe someone has 2 games and wants to Arceus, but they only can get 1 code (at least in my city they are really strict with that)

As long as there is someone that wants or needs the code, the auction is not pointless

That's... actually how auctions works... the point is ussualy to bid so the other person can or doesn't want to outbid you.

He has all the right to even start the auction with 1000PC if he wanted to
