The biggest misconception with Nintendo online is that people think the money goes to servers, they don't. The developers are the ones that host the servers and like 90% of the time, it's not Nintendo.
For some games, sure. But there's absolutely no excuse for Nintendo's official games to have the poor peer to peer connection. It's virtually unplayable with the lag I get on their first party games, forgetting the third party aspect since most people buy Nintendo consoles for Nintendo games. One person has bad wifi, and that's all it takes to make smash bros online multiplayer or mario maker 2 coop online unplayable, amoung other Nintendo games.

It's cheap, severely outdated, and just plain poor.
