It's been in a fire. Nintendo stuff doesn't die easily. I've heard of some delicate consoles and handheld breaking when you drop them...my DSi travelled the whole staircase on it's own and I found no damage, even the battery is okay. My 3dsXL once took a 10 cm dive to the floor; not a scratch. And this one got nice and warm. Nintendo; it's not the fluffy breakable stuff, they should ask Nintendo to create nuclear shelters. :p I never expected a 3DS to survive a fire. It looks like a battle scar really. Any unbreakable or broken Nintendo products you encountered?

My brother's Nintendo DS. I gave it to him because I had a new one, and he once sent the console fly against an heater. The console broke in two, but, hey, it was still alive ! The lower part could still read games !

But yes, we can all agree that Nintendo's products are damn resistant, compared to their concurrence's counterparts.
Alas, none of them will surpass the Tank, known as the Nintendo GameCube. Even wrecked badly, it stills works fine !

I think I saw a picture of a DSi chewed by a dog and it is still in working condition! I agree that nintendo consoles are really durable. My GBC is still working (as well as the cartridge). My brother once rinse a cartridge (to be exact, wash the circuit inside) with water and it is still in good working condition after that.

This is my classic ye old turquoise NDS I couldn't play it since the top screen broke and just because it fell a couple of cm's of the ground, I loved it.:(IMG_0111.JPGIMG_0112.JPG

My DSlite was first crunched by a theatre chair then sat on by someone and though the screen was cracked and blurry it could still read games! But the battery was dead so he accident signified its end anyway. :( @Derplink_:3 your DS stills looks kind of okay, maybe it's repairable somehow?

Yeesh, they can make hardware that doesn't die even in a fire yet they can't make Circle Pads that can't be broken so readily by Smash multiplayer gamers :p

That's amazing, I'd never expect a console to be able to turn on after that. My own 3DS fell once from my hand onto a wooden floor, but it was unaffected.

I wish but when I was a kid and I had it @PersonSP I told my dad multiple times to fix it for me. When he went to get it fixed he told me that it can't be repaired and got me a NDS lite instead. :(

Well a DSlite is fun too! And it is backwards compatible right? (Dads repairing stuff reminds me of a non-nintendo related tingy: When I was on holiday my headphones snapped in two, don't know how, the still worked but it was clear to see they were dying. So my dad takes out his lighter, melts the pieces together and ducttapes the whole thing. It still works! :3)

What happened? Also don't be sad! If a 3DS can survive a fire you can handle everything!

It's just that I'm old and when I was young my dad admired me and used to take me to Vgame stores, now he still does which I really appreciate but I wish I could be young again and it's just really hard to explain.

Nintendo stuff are pretty sturdy. I remember reading somewhere that a guy even brought a DS up Mount Everest. While the other gadgets he brought along already gave out, the DS survived the entire thing. *The more you knooooowwwww*

I heard that from "Did You Know Gaming" :D Although as surprising as that sounds it can't handle a one foot fall with the top screen snapping of :(

I remember hearing about a guy losing his Nintendo DS while walking his dog, then finding it a month later covered in mud and submerged in a puddle. It worked just fine.

Of course, this is just par for the course for Nintendo consoles. There's a reason the phrase "Made of Nintendium" exists.

Who would do that to a 3DS?! Even if it were to prove it can withstand such things... I mean what if it would in fact break? And now it's got a scratch. My 3DS isn't flawless any more either but I wouldn't do drop tests with it!

As expected of a console made of typical Nintendium. Do not compare the durability of Nintendo's invincible metal to Apple's Applium. That is a material that breaks when it comes a foot near the ground -_-

So stunning that it could endure that much pain and still play games. I salute you, burnt 3DS! o7

Applium; if you stare at it intensely it will burst into flames. Nintendium, if you set it on fire it will survive with awesome battle scars. See? They are comparable. ;)

1) Nice table and chairs
2) that's ridiculous
3) bomb shelters sounds about right
4) I've dropped my 3ds onto concrete sidewalks from about 5 feet high before, nothing wrong except there's a small white dent on each of the corners...
