Then, why can't we download the app on the eShop ?
It was never made available anywhere other than Japan. It's still under Upcoming Releases on the eShop.

And they were going to publish the ones made on DSi to the 3DS Flipnote... I hope that they will release it here too...

well, we'll have to wait and see what happens on that. For all we know, this Swapnote thing could have got rid of its chances entirely or they're making modifications to it idk

I'd rather hope that they will release it.

Not a big deal to me , I don't even use it to send messages to people , drawings and photos xD well pity those people who want to use it so desperately since the shutdown of it.

well, it was a fun 3DS gimmick to use. I mean, not only did it have the ability to send regular notes on it, but it also had a "3D pen" that allowed for the writing to pop out with the 3D effect.

I like the words that popped out its really cool and unique if you send people letters with popping letters it would just blow their mind because of the 3D effect :p

I have a question about this if anyone can answer me on it.

Why is Swapnote still in the eShop? Can you still send messages through Street Pass? If not I really don't understand why it's still there.

I think they are leaving it there on the eshop , and might be able to use after sometime or in japan it's only stopped or blocked xD but anyways I don't really know sorry if this does not help xD.

The worse, is that they also shut down Flipnote Studio 3D... I was going to try it...
Curse those child predators !
The samples video is still up on the North American Eshop so I'm assuming it's still going to be released.
I don't recall Flipnote Hatena having any such feature so I'm not worried if Flipnote Studio 3D has it or not.

It's there because you can indeed still send messages through Streetpass.

that makes no sense. Why would they disable Swapnote when you can also send messages through Streetpass? What do you think the reasoning may have been there?

Easy, people who have little connection to each other are less likely to meet in person than over the internet, there are many people who share FCs on facebook, but rarely if ever meet in person. So it decreased the chance of possible problems. One of the main reasons it was shut down was a couple pedophiles. Do you think they were actually likely to meet up with these people?

yeah, I guess that makes sense. Idk my thoughts initially were that it's still interacting with some stranger but your logic makes sense. Although at the same time the risk is somewhat there
