Opinion on Linkle?

I really love this character. I think a Zelda game would do good with a Gender select sorta like Pokemon,
(Them Purists may disagree, but k'mon let it happen Nintendo.)

Linkle is actually a really good character. Usually the complaint I see is that this is an excuse to give the developers a heroine without using Zelda and thus it's a sexist move, but I think people don't quite understand the point; Zelda is a fleshed out character with her own backstory, motivations and plans, but that doesn't mean she's always a damsel in distress. In some cases Zelda has actually been helpful towards Link's quest or even going so far as to prolong the villains plans by going undercover.

Link on the other hand is the protagonist but also as an outlet to project yourself on. It's the reason why (Aside from some screeching/grunting/hurt noises) he never speaks at all. Linkle would add to this because having the option to choose your gender could possibly project yourself further in the game's story than ever. In a way, I could definitely see Linkle being a gender option to Link like Pokemon or heck, even as a protagonist that deserves her own canonical spot in the timeline. The Hero's Spirit can't always be a guy, right?

I still would like that Nintendo made her Link's sister, so everybody can say "Oh! Link's parents aren't too creative aren't they"
So that the name could fit perfectly. But, eh~
Maybe the family is a Fan of Link as well of her? Idk. I like the character cute and badas at the same time tho

I think thatch is a pretty neat addition to the Zelda series (Even if she's not canon), and I don't understand all the hate that she gets among the community. That being said, I don't think that something like this would be a good fit for the main Zelda series, as a lot of the games' stories (especially BoTW) wouldn't make as much sense.

Honestly, I kinda wish she was canon, and if she had her own game, I would buy it, because she’s a pretty awesome character.

I had an awesome time playing through her special quest line in Hyrule Warriors Legends, and I can really see Nintendo making her a full fledged spin-off game. And tbh, with all the hate she’s been getting, that makes me want an actual game for her even more.
