I need an honest opinion. So, below I've posted a couple of my works. Most of them are in black and white and drawn with pencil, while the two of the colored ones (whale and seagull) are painted with oil painting (shark is painted with watercolors). My question is next: If you were paying for these (I'm not saying you are but imagine if you do) how much would you be willing to pay for them? This is bothering me so much because I'm starting to think about making a living by drawing and painting but I don't know how much should someone pay me. Reason I think that is because I'm double-minded (or whatever it's said) because I think that I should give a price range of, let's say, 50-70$ because of my time and effort I poured into my works and because of the supply cost, but on the other hand I think that I should take a low price of 10-20$ because I don't think they are that good. So I need an honest opinion and also if you know of any way to earn money (by drawing and painting stuff) either online or in real world, I would really appriciate it :)
I'm putting this into show off category because I am kinda showing off xD

These are so neat! I'd say you'd average about $25 - 60 per piece depending on size and colors! I know I'd pay about that much for the Red-Eyes B. Dragon and the knight-looking girl! ^~^

You could totally sell this kind of stuff somewhere. Maybe even take commissions here and there. You could also offer to illustrate stuff commercially; by which I mean if someone wants to hire an artist for their web domain or banner or something, you could apply there. Or vice-versa. ^3-

Your artwork is simply beautiful! you've good some really good skill! The Red Eyes and Reshiram would be my faves, so much detail! as for charging customers, I think you should start low to start with so you at least get some buyers. Increase the prices later on. I wouldn't pay too much for a piece of art, personally. xD

I love your work ^^

As for the price you should sell your work for, I think it's better to let the person who is buying it suggest a price they're willing to pay for it then you can negotiate from there.

The artwork is worth as much as the buyer is willing to pay. There are many people who'd have a different opinion on how much it should cost. Some will offer low-ball prices while others will pay an arm and a leg for it.

First of all; They're all really good. Like you actually wow-ed me. (I said "wow" out loud.) And I am a highly critical person (I am usually holding back in my comments to others.) I feel pretty incompetent now. Which just means you're awesome.

As for the price range, it depends on the art-value. What I mean with that is how original and arty the work is. If you want people to pay 50-70$ it doesn't have to be just good or beautiful but also origianl. Like your jailer for instance. The other drawings and the pokémon are quite good too but they can be regarded as fanart or kitsch-art since they depict either variations on already existing works or works in a already well-painted/drawn category (like the portraits). When I look at your drawing i feel like you're used to copying your examples (and you're doing an absolutely fantastic job at it too), try to add more things from your own fantasy or tweak your drawings a bit. Art has a message, whereas fanart/kitsch doesn't. What is your message, are there any hidden themes, things you might overlook in a quick view? That's the stuff that can make your work shift from a lower to a higher price-range.

I see your point and I agree with it but here's the problem, whenever I try to draw something from my head it turns out realy ugly  I'm trying hard to solve the problem but I don't think it's getting any better :sorry:

First draw the rough lines from an example, then take another example and use little bits of that. Blend the two together. that usually helps for me. Besides, thinking your work is ugly is an artist problem, you might not like it but others probably will. ;)

They're flippin' amazing

I don't know much about art or what it sales for, but I do know I would personally buy some of your drawings.

Now, as @PersonSP said, I think you need to be more original. Your drawings of the animals & the portraits were my favorite ones because they were unique.

Honestly, I just want to see more drawings of animals you've created, cause I would buy some of those animal drawings. They were beautiful :3

I hope you figure out what to sell them for :D

Good Luck!

Wow, thank you :3 I know I need to be more original, the problem is that I lack the skills to do original stuff >.>
I'm curently working on the painting of a town's sea landscape (can't think of a word for that but you'll see :p ). Basically if I don't have any requests then I'm drawing of painting whatever I'm in the mood for. Lately I'm trying to paint for academy because I want to enrole there and I need like 15 drawings of whatever (which I have) and 15 whatever (paintings, animations, books, comics, whatever we want) and I have only a couple of them >.>

But if someone wants I can draw them something for Play Coins :3 you decide the price :3

Sure, I'd love to commission you for some artwork. :3 I can pay 15-20 PC but if you'd like I can go a bit higher than that. :p

And if you do agree or we can work something out...

Pearl from Steven Universe, being, well, herself.

And sorry for making you blush, but it's the truth. :cat:
