I find no point in this game.
Hate to be the killjoy here, but I don't see any particular gain here besides earning the PC I'll have earned anyway by posting something meaningful, I can't see any achievement in post-counts as they are self-fueled, and I won't willingly participate in anything that requires more from me than I'm already giving.
I mean, I never got the appeal when someone goes all "I got to 4.000 posts! Hooray for me!" I don't count that as something meaningful. They could be posting anything; even how pizzas are better than burgers, and it'll count.
Yes, even my protesting this very system, my wordy post written against post-counts and self-absorbed-ness, my manifesto against the shallow, will only up my post-count and hand me PC. I just like to think I do more than just get PC this way: I hope I'm giving people something to think about.
But I won't be rude about it: my offense is toward a system, not the ones who participate in it. This is one of those rare times where I speak my mind and understand it's only my mind speaking. Posts I make like these don't need to be repeated, defended, or even understood at first. I just post this way so other users can probably relate, more likely debate, and just sit back and watch with popcorn: it's why I'm here, and I hope it's why I stay.
I offer to everyone a chance to reconsider anything and everything. My posts are meant more for your interpretation than my meanings. I don't care how many I make, I care if they're reaching other people. I won't be participating in this empty (no offense intended) game.
