I have mario Kart 7 on my 3ds and I just unlocked the Rianbow Road. I tried it a few times and quickly realized this it was hard (for me) i kepon trying and still i kept on falling off of the track. Do you have some tips on how I can be better at rainbow Road. Please post you comments in the comment section below.

For every generation of Mario Kart, I think it's fair to say that Rainbow Road is indeed the hardest track in the game, and perhaps the signature track of the game as well. I played the MK8 version of Rainbow Road, and at first I used to find it hard, then when 200CC came out I ended up finding a shortcut which let me cut through the second half of the stage with so much ease. It mostly comes down to memorizing the pattern of the tracks and the gimmicks that the course has to throw at you. I'm not too familiar with the one from MK7, but I think that memorizing the course will still be of great help on it. But a good start would be to go practice on time trials, take it slowly so that you can learn the course, then from there work for a better time, and keep doing that. Eventually you should be able to get through the course with ease, and then use that to your advantage in races :p

Good luck!

When I first played Mario Kart's Rainbow Road, I had that same problem too. I thought it was going to be easy since I knew Mario Kart DS' Rainbow Road :p I would suggest to keep playing the track until you get used to it. Try not to drift too much at certain turns because it'll most likely end up as a fall :p

Some tips :

1.Try not to drift
2. play a lot times in this track to memorized!
3. Don't take corners to fast or you might fall off
4. Practice a lot! :D

It is meant to be hard. It's the final stage, so I guess so. I also fall all the time, and it's frustratingggggg!! My tip: Try to play it alot of time so you'll remember the road and you'll not fall. Also try to be only in the middle of the road and not on the corners.

If you're struggling at the corners, it's probably better to start off by not drifting and get a feel for the course and it's directions. You might also want to try a kart build with more acceleration to get quickly back into the race if you fall off, or more handling to struggle less at the corners. Time trials is your friend.

To me, Rainbow Road on MK7 is in fact one of my favourite courses of MK of all time, because of how fun it is! :D When you get used to it you'll probably enjoy playing it more. Practice is key.

Ah, Rainbow Road! A twisting turning path of chaos! Not my favorite part of Mario Kart, to say the least.
It seems to be sort of an ultimate challenge or test. If you can get 1st place, you're a Mario Kart champion!
It would be a lot easier if they had barriers around the sides, but in most places you can just slip off and fall to earth!
I wonder how they get up there and back down? Lakitu must be getting paid extra to lift Donkey Kong to space!
With enough practice and determination, you can beat Rainbow Road!

Is supossed to be hard, is the Rainbow Road

But it gets much easier ince you learn the track by memory

Good Luck!!! Ü

In my own opinion, Rainbow Road just isn't that hard as your saying it is. As said before, play the track a lot and familiarize yourself with the stage. But I wouldn't tell you to not drift or take corners fast, unless you're just not the best at drifting, in which case you just have to work on that.

Well, the first mario kart i ever played was super mario kart on the super nes. And when i got the special cup open, i was experiencing the same problems as you: constantly falling, usually at turns (nearly all of them, btw kek XD). The only thing i really did to improve with this course was practice run it in time trials. It took me an hour to really nail the course (maybe more, idk. But i was intent on doing anything possible to master this one). Soon i was able to run the entire course with no falls. When i got that good at rainbow road, i would often play the game with my relatives and pick rainbow road just lol at them falling a bunch while i ran through easily and flawlessly hehe^^

Its just something that comes in practice, sweetie. I was once having the same struggles as you with rainbow road, but i got good at it because i took the time to practice it! You know what i think? I say with enough effort and persistence, you can do just fine with rainbow road courses! I mean, if i can do what i did here, i know you can too! Just keep practicing and it will come naturally before you know it. ;)

That's pretty much a given, because there aren't too many rails to keep you from falling off into oblivion. Only advice I have for you is to memorize each portion of the course: from the tight turns to the soaring chain chomps. Once you have everything down to a science, then maybe learn the cool shortcuts that can be done within the course to save you a good 2 to 4 seconds of time. :jimlad:

Hello rainbow road isn't difficult. You just need to practice, you can play with your friends. You can also watch videos on Youtube and learn all the shortcuts. You should learn to drift very well if you don't,it's needed for the rainbow road. When i started it was difficult too but now i can do it easily. I hope it will help you, good bye.

I think in MK7 Rainbow Road is a little bit easier than Bowser's Castle, mainly because Bowser's Castle requires more gliding skill if you want to get the boost ramps at the start besides a few tight spots, but that's just me. If it's a turn you better drift it unless it's the last turn on the course. In the gliding portion stay gliding as long as possible without falling off the track. Always go for the inside of a turn unless you want to get the coins at the first leg. As for the other games yeah Rainbow Road is hard.

Yes, do beware how you take sharp turns on this one, especially if you are still getting the feel for either the course or game, failure to control drifting on this number can be costly, especially if you make a blunder midway a first place lead, do be careful and take your time so that you do well without being too far behind. Good luck, my friend. ;)

it's hard at first, but after a while u gt used to it. There's usually 2 versions. The one that is different per game is uslaly eaiser than the one on every game. The one on every game is really fun but it's hard to win to the AI who are programmed so that they don't fall too much. After some practice, you'll fall / fail not too often.

well, you must practice, then you will be fine,

Yes, i myself cannot stress that enough here. The first rainbow road course i did, i was falling quite frequently for a while. But: i took the time to practice the course over and over, long enough for me to get good at it. After enough time, i was able to play the course very flawlessly and i was able to do it without frequent falls.

This was on super mario kart for the super nes, by the way. I remember times i would race my older sister to see if i could beat her. She was extremely skilled, by the way. She knew how to get the perfect start almost every time (i didn't for this version of mario kart, but i nailed it for later versions of mario kart), plus she literally never fell off the edges on any course, and what would happen at times (if i was lucky enough to get a brief lead over her, of course) is she would have a red shell and hold it until i passed her, and then she would get me with it and get way ahead again.

My falls werent frequent either (except for a lot of the special cup stages, not counting rainbow road here), but she still beat me nearly every time. I actually kind of laugh remembering all of this. I actually had a lot of fun with her, even though i didn't beat her very much.

Keep in mind though; my sister had a lot of prior experience and practice with the game than i did. She didnt magically get that good; she had a lot of practice. What im getting at here is that anything is possible to conquer if you put enough time, practice, and effort into whatever it may be that you are trying to accomplish. Be patient: nothing comes magically. You need to keep trying until you have it mastered, or are able to play better.

Dont give up; i know its hard and can be very frustrating trying to finish anything of high or extreme difficulty. I got pretty frustrated with my own share of things as well, gaming or something else. But i didnt let my frustration defeat me like that. I kept going and trying, despite intense difficulty and heat of the situation. Just do your best, try not to let your anger or frustration defeat you, and stay positive as much as you can. I know its not easy, but its good to try your best here. Good luck, dear friend.

For me... rainbow road AT FIRST WAS THE HARDEST THING EVER... 0_0. But then I used to play online and view some gosts and that literally help me out to manage how to race on rainbowroad. For my first impression was very difficult I always got in 8th or 12th place... but then I learn how to manage. You need to learn how to manage it too.

Yes, thank you for mentioning that. Watching another person or another person's ghost records can help also. I too have learned a few things from watching other people's ghost data run the course. If youre unable to do this (for example, in the case of an older mario kart game like mario kart wii, where wifi is now inaccessible due to its wifi shutdown, along with nintendo ds wifi here), then another option you have is to watch a skilled youtuber run the course, or if you can, ask a friend to show you how he/she plays the stage or a relative with sufficient experience to act as a guide. This helps with getting ideas and learning possible tactics and strategies to help you play through the course better. Hope this is useful info for you here. :)

Be extra careful with the turns! You may fall anytime so do not drift and try to prepare yourself for the curve a bit before you usually do. After that, I guess it'll become pretty easy
