Shinies

I have been playing pokemon ever since the first game came out! and i myself had never caught or seen a shiny in my life until pokemon white 2. I got a woobat on my birthday which was awesome! ^-^ untill my friend said yeah you get a increase chance of shines on your birthday and that depressed me a little since i never new! but still happy i got my first shiny! ^-^

But then when i got pokemon Y i have been getting shinnies allot more frequently. They have definitely lost there value as they are so easy to get now in the new games. I hope they become rare again in omega ruby and alpha sapphire. made shines so much more awesome when they were rare :3

I've only ever seen 3 in game; one chain fishing, one pokeradar chaining and the other in the wild. I've gotten 5 from gts (all probably hacked btw).
I also own a action replay so I have a shiny version of every pokemon from gen 1-5 so yh.

Ive never had a shiny pokemon, and Ive always wanted one, not because I think theyre valuable but just their rarity makes me want one. That plus I love pokemon, and Ive been playing it as long as I can remember, ever since Pokemon Yellow.
Ive beaten Pokemon X recently without using any Repels in the hopes that Id encounter one, but not yet

I, sadly, have not found any. My friend though, found one in the wild in one of the earlier generations, but he missed his chance.

Although shinies are getting more and more common due to cheats and such, I think that nothing can compare with the feeling you get when you find shinies, whether on purpose or not.

shinies are very rare, the shinies that I've obtain are gible,gyarados,shelmet,Durant and whismur,I collect shinies and they are very nice in all of their different colours evn though they are extremely rare

I have played every Pokemon game and I have only got one shiny (unless Gyarados from GSC & HGSS count) and it was from an egg in Pokemon X.

I got about two to three times of encouterd in pokemon x ..first one is skiddo,then bunnelby and wingull..in previous game I played I had encountered with black rayquaza, really lucky that time.. Now Im still finding those pokemon called shiny ,anyway this pokemon is very rare like another challenge in this rpg game

I think shinies are pretty neat. Some shinies are just more beautiful than their normal counterparts. (All though some shinies are as ugly as can be.) I think they are slightly more valuable than normal pokes because it's harder to get a shiny but it also depends on whether the shiny is beautiful. They are useful when trading with people, some even trade legendaries for shinies. I only caught two shinies myself but I've met some nice people who gave me some as well. (My favourite is shiny florges. Shiny golduck is pretty ugly.)
