Should I get Mario Kart 7 or Super Mario 3D land?

Racing is better with friends, yeah, but if you're competitive you've got things like the Time Trials to keep you occupied. There's also stuff like online multiplayer, so you can't go wrong with it, really

But what if ur traveling and theres no internet where ur going and all in well the time trials could keep u occupied but eventually it gets boring. Good point though.

Time trials getting boring goes back to whether you're a competitive player. If you're a competitive player, you're not exactly playing for fun, right? So that's one thing to take into consideration there. You have a point with travel though, although there's the option of local wireless and if there are other 3DS users there, you could play with them through the Download Play option they have on their 3DS.

Well true but what if u want to play just for fun and u try completing the game as much as possible but then what? that when platformers come in and entertain u with 3d land u have an over world and parallel world and u could play as Luigi(eventually as u progress) so I'd say buy both if u could or decide which is better.

I'd get Mario Kart 7, since you can play online with other players through wifi, it gives it great replay value. I've probably logged in about a couple hundred hours playing online, so I don't think you'll get bored of it anytime soon.

I like both games, but there was more of a challenge in 3d world. But if you want to play with friends, you should get kart 7

In all honesty, it just depends on what you prefer: a racer or a platformer. Personally, I'd pick SM3Dl but that's because I'm more into platforming. You, on the other hand, for all we know, could be more into the racers. Depends on what you prefer.

I havent played mario 3d world but mario kart is very good and it has online races and online coin and ballon battles,+ the vechile customisation is great, if you lose in the online you will only lose about 5 points and if you win you get like 20+.

MK7 due to the fact that there are unlockables and the Nintendo network and the online is awesome plus racing with friends is awesome and can get loud!

I would also have to say that both games are very well worth their prices since there was a $10 price drop for the games not too long ago. However, if you played both games to their fullest extent of one-hundred percent, Mario Kart 7 would rack up a lot more hours in your Activity Log than would Super Mario 3D Land.

Definitely, the two games are must have, but it depends on what you like most, if you like most multiplayer games and want to play with other friends, you should get mario kart 7 first, but if you prefer to go alone playing on your own, you can get super mario 3d land. But as @OopaMazo says, mario kart 7 will make you play for more hours than 3d land.

I think that you should get super Mario 3d land. In this game Mario's tanooki leaf is introduced. The game is very creative and colorful. You will have loads and loads of fun playing this. I like the 3d aspect of the game better than the 2d Mario games. One thing that I hate about super Mario 3d land is that you have to collect green stars to progress. I think you should get this game and I think it is worth it.

Well your talking about a racing game that is competitive vs a game that is just a platformed. Mario kart 7 would be better because you can play the game with other people and playing with others is more fun then playing a game by yourself. Even though Mario kart is repetitive I just play online against other people and I get a blast from that

To be honest, they are both really awesome games for the 3DS! and instead of choosing one, I suggest that maybe you should save up and get both ^_^ but that's just my opinion haha...

3D land is a great experience in solo player i enjoyed it and it has many secrets to discover. i consider it a gem between mayro games, the gems ive seen are mayro 64 mayro 3d land and mayro 3d world they are some wonderful games and ah how could i even forget mayro 3 for NES best NES game but eh whatever if i was u i would buy 3d land

I feel as if you'll more of a great time playing Super Mario 3D Land. I've played the game before and it was fun but my dumb self sold the game back. As for MK7, I only occasionally played the game just to get the Gold Body by getting 20,000 coins which I was close to. Looking at the poll, you probably gotten 3D Land and good for you.

Both of these games have mixed opinions, but if I had to choose, I would go for Mario Kart. I am a fan of the series, although this one wasn't too great. The drifting mechanic was screwed up, but everything else was fine. A typical Mario game like Super Mario 3D Land won't last too long after you beat it.

Between Mario Kart 7 and Super Mario 3D Land, you should totally choose Mario Kart 7. Its a really fun game to play and its even more fun to play with your friends. With almost ten years of thrilling races behind them, even the most fine-tuned racing fireballs can show signs of fatigue. But rather than risking a break-down, Nintendo was smart enough to dismantle its Mario Kart core formula in order to correctly refreshen each and every one of its clogs before putting them back together.
