Sony has come back home Nintendo brothers! Sony was once a group of people from Nintendo but they split up when Sony wanted to create a disc system. Sony also had their own sound chips in certain Nintendo consoles before. Surprising indeed but this cooperation certainly should be the best for them both.

Hasn't there already been a Super Mario Bros. film?

Oh, you mean the stupid one that no-one likes? Yep!
This one is animated, though, and I expect it to be much better.
One thing I'm surprised about though..."Mario empire?" Are we getting a Mario Kart movie, too? A whole series?
Wait, something just clicked to me that just might work if Sony cooperated...
Mario X Sonic Boom movie.
Ah? Ah? *bricked*

I got shocked when i found out last week, i understand nintendo asking for them to make the movie but i cant believe sony accepted, last time i checked sony didn't like nintendo verry much............

I have only seen one Mario movie but it wasn't a movie it was like a tape for VCR I don't know what to call it,it was funny and enjoyable though and it was a cartoon.Glad that sony is accepting this I want to see that movie when it comes .

Why is Nintendo's rival making a movie of the biggest gaming series franchise Mario whom they don't even own? I can't get my head around it...it would make sense if Nintendo made it but good luck to Sony, they'll need it. :p

actually sony and nintendo did have a partnership in the past. sony did make the cdi games. marios hotel, zelda wand of gamelon, link the faces of evil. and zelda quest. plus a few other nintendo games. so it dosent supprise me. plus sony is extremly good at making and producing movies. plus if its cartoon then sony would be the best, with thier awsome ability to make such good graphics on games. if its live person, then hopefully they can keep the mario we all know and love, but add some sony awsomeness into it.

I'll admit, I never really expected Nintendo's rival to make a movie of THEIR character... but I guess Sony is good at this stuff and hopefully it shouldn't stray too far from the bases of the Mario Universe...

Well, if it's not as bad as the last one.

Oh yeah, I can't stand a repeat of the previous Mario film. The animated ones weren't too bad though. Hopefully this one will be animated, honestly, that goomba in the previous film looks like a complete and utter psycho.

You know what would be cool, a zelda movie , and a Mario movie of course but I hope is not like the other movie

Okay. This is something totally unexpected from Sony. Sony is a competitor and a rival to Nintendo, so it's really weird that they are promoting a character from their opposition. Sony fanboys are usually saying that Mario and Zelda games are for kids, and real gamers play CoD and Battlefield on PS4's/PS3's. Now, all of a sudden, Sony does this. We will have to see how this turns out, I don't expect it to be anything spectacular.

Well, unlike Nintendo, Sony does way more than video games/consoles. They make TVs, Cameras, games, Consoles, Movies, and the list does on... And probably the Video Game department at Sony isn't even remotely related to the one making the movies. Sure they share the same CEOs at one point but I don't think they actually care about this anymore, and I'm not even sure they are the same as the ones that had a grudge against Nintendo back then. So it's not that weird to me.

What I find weird though is that after the 1993 flop, Nintendo wants to try again. I don't know, I never really saw an interesting story in Mario games, nothing that could entertain me in a movie anyway. we'll see?

Sony's making a ratchet and clank and a sly film too and now mario... maybe the interview movie could be the cause of all this, Sony's feeling pretty brave

I agree. Sony's video game branch is not involved with this movie

I hope it won't suck like the last one. That was a nightmare to watch no one looked like who they were supposed to be. And Mario looked gross...if I remember correctly 'Toad' was a gangster...I think and I think it was Daisy instead of Peach. Augh....

Sony please don't mess up this remake! What am I saying I have faith in them!

I'll have my fingers crossed. For both Nintendo's Sony's (mostly Sony's) sake this movie has to be good. Sony has now more experience with movie technology and I hope they have learned from their mistakes
