Super Mario Galaxy 3? Who wants it to happen?

Seeming as the first two games were huge hits, then why not? I really think there needs to be a new sequel. We haven't had a Mario Galaxy game in ages. They could incorporate the previous levels from the first two games, the mostly used power-ups (favorites amongst Mario fans and gamers alike) and of course a lot more stars to collect to keep us occupied.

Sure I guess. The only problem is a new 3d mario game may not come this gen but if it does, make it innovative! Its usually 1 3d mario game per gen, so I am not too sure if the wii u will get another but if possible, make it really amazing! Galaxy 1 and 2 were kinda the same games, galaxy 2 was more of a level add on so I consider both galaxy games 1. I would want a third galaxy game to fit with the gamepad a lot and have something completely new. Of course, I am not gonna hype until I see a trailer myself. Also, games do not need to be announced at e3, nintendo announced games on the nintendo directs anyways, so yeah, make it happen(if possible)

Who wouldn't want this to happen? Super Mario Galaxy is one of the best 3D platformers of all time. A third game on the Wii U would be amazing, even if we have to sacrifice Super Mario Sunshine HD. Super Mario Galaxy is one of my favorite Wii games, right next to Smash Bros. Brawl. I don't know anyone who wouldn't want Galaxy 3.

Yes! But only 1 3d Mario game was on the wii u. You know what they should do? In 2016, nintendo should have super mario galaxy 3 and legend of zelda u showed off in a lot of trailers. That would raise a whopping lot of numbers. Super mario galaxy 3 would be really sweet on the wii u, especially with the use of the gamepad.
Well there goes my money for next year if that happens, lol. For 90 dollars, they should bundle galaxy and galaxy 2 hd along with galaxy 3 and that would make the ultimate game. If not, for 60 dollars, you can get the normal edition. Who would not like that?

If Nintendo does make a Galaxy 3, which I really don't see happening at all at this point, I at least hope that they would put a bit more thought and effort into the story this time around. SMG1's story was amazing, especially Rosalina's backstory, but SMG2 - not so much. A some-many-years-later plot doesn't count as a legitimate story lol. The hub wasn't so grand either, it was just a planet with Mario's face on it (It's kind of like they re-used the idea of having different faces as planets in the profile select screen of the first Mario Galaxy). I didn't like 2 much tbh, so I can only hope that Nintendo would redeem themselves if they did make a 3.

Nope, they never planned to make it on a handheld. That would be impossible, and way too much for the new 3ds to handle. Plus, I think a galaxy game would be more fit for the wii u. They never planned a galaxy 2 remake on the new 3ds, never. If there is galaxy remake or another galaxy game, it would be for the wii u, it would be impossible for the 3ds.
