EDIT: Does this tournament start on the 5th or does it actually take place on the 5th? If it's taking place on the 5th, I can't join.

Hi everybody,

Since Super Smash Bros. 4 (3DS) has been released since yesterday, I thought it would be great to set up a tourney just for the fun (and the prize, the fame, the glory) !

The Prize :
1st: 150 Play Coins
2nd: 75 Play Coins (Will be sent by me)
3rd: 50 Play Coins (Will be sent by me)

You can also thank @Marc, who has decided to sponsor the tourney and help with the rewards and the set up!

The tournament will start Sunday 5th October, at 0:00PM (EDT). Be sure to register for the tourney, and ensure you have a copy of the game by that time ! And if you have one, train yourself !

Also, before we start, let's set up the rules:

The Rules:
-Stalling is forbidden. Anybody caught stalling will be excluded from the tourney!
-I'll ask for proof of the win, just to check if you have won legally!
-Be fair-play. It's the first Smash Bros. game some of us have, so, don't go really too hard on them, or it'll break the fun for them.

The Battles:
High chance of being 1-on-1 (I'll check if there's support for 4P battles, though)
Battles will be Stock Battles, with 3 lives for each player.
You have 3 minutes to KO your opponent !
Being eliminated in the Semifinals means that you'll fight for the 3rd Place!

And to all participants, the 12:00 PM (noon) date means when that the tournaments starts, not when you fight ! Indeedn when brackets will be revealed, you'll have to set up a date to fight your opponent ! I'm doing it this way, because I know it would cause problems to people like me living in zones where there's an huge difference with the EDT.
So, basically, the 12:00PM (noon) EDT thing means 18:00 (24h format) for people in GMT+1, 17:00 for GMT people, and so on.

It doesn't mean that you have to start when it'll begin ! You have some time to decide when to face your opponent!

@OopaMazo: Yes, Miis are allowed, since you'll need to choose Battle with Friends in the menu. I won't ban Miis.

Don't worry, I still added him (in the brackets). Well, going to extend the brackets if some people still want to join.
Edit: Not extending brackets, because it would cause byes, and the brackets' design would go confusing and horrible.
Well, unless somebody wants to un-register, I'm closing the inscriptions.

They are done. I shuffled everything, I'll reveal the brackets two hours before the tournament's beginning ;).

Nope, it's a regular bracket, just like what you would see in any tournament.
PS: You're right about being hyped. You might be facing a powerful opponent... or not. I don't know anything about the way your opponent plays the game, so, it's a surprise :sneaky: ;). (PS: I won't do any leak about the brackets before it's time)

Hey, everybody ! It's time ! The SSB4 Tourney has now begun !
Prepare your 3DS and your character, and set up a date for when you'll fight your opponent !
(PS: Don't forget to save the video using (Y) at the end of a battle ! I need it to check who has won and to avoid stalling! Also, to upload your video, use something like Dropbox, Mediafire or a similar service, thanks !)
