Mine's a tie between the Star and the Triple Red Shell.

The Star increases speed dramatically while adding invincibility as well as terrain penalty negation.

The shells can serve as excellent offense/defense options, equal to the triple green shell in defense, yes, but superior in offense thanks to homing.

I like 2 items:

Star: The star is great, since it gives you a lot of extra speed plus it gives you invincibility.

Triple Red Shell: This works great, especially if you're in 1st-4th place. You can hit them and go 1st place. If any are left, you could back-throw it.

Definitely the star of the triple red shell
The star gives you short invincibility and a speed boost which really helps. I like to go toward the back to increase my chances of getting a star and boss mode my way to the front and use the star to get a major advantage.
The red shell is great for destroying oncoming shells and you can ram into someone with it to attack them. It's great :rotfl:

Triple Red Shell will end all relationships you had with anyone you're racing with. It supplies a shield, as well as extremely useful weapons of mass destruction that will bump your place up as long as you aren't lagging to far behind the competition.

The blue shell of doom and Bullet Bill were the best items ever. Bullet Bill gives you the best boost when you're lagging behind others. This item is better paired with the blue shell. The blue shell can affect not only the 1st placer but also the racers close to him/her

Hey i like those too hehe :p It seems based on what im seeing most of here, im one of the few (or what seems like few to me here) with a taste for the stronger an hardcore items. Thats always been my taste, whether its mario kart, resident evil, or pretty much anything else i played that this applies to--im one with a natural taste for high powered weapons, items, pokemon, etc. Anything i perceive as strong i will inevitably like and desire to get my hands on. Thats just my classic self, nothing more or less. :p

super horn? is that a mario kart 8 item i never known of it, but i haven't played mario kart 8 either or seen much video for it so if its version special to that, then yes i know why i dont recognize XP

Yes, it's from Mario Kart 8, The item is a cube with a horn sticking out of it. It's purpose is to create a circular area around your kart to damage opponents, items, ETC. You can also use it to destroy the Blue/Spiny shell, hence my like for it.
Also, yes, it's exclusive to Mario Kart 8.

Ooh nice hehe :p im gonna get the game sometime soon, its the only recent mario kart game im missing i think. I bet people like to troll online with the super horn, it wouldn't surprise me lol. People were already finding ways to troll with older items like blue shell, invincible star, an i think bullet bill as well.

Speaking of which, ive also noticed a common way people like to troll: park at the finish on last lap, wait for someone get close, then just slam the gas and finish first. Not the most original way of mario kart trolling, but i actually think its pretty funny personally :p yeah, i know some of you might hate me for saying that but oh well kek :p

My favorite Item is the the triple banana but my favorite power-up is the lucky seven. I like the Triple banana because I am surprisingly good at using it to throw at enemies in front of me. This a also allows me three tries at hitting someone ahead of me.

I like to use a bom-omb to blow up my friends if im like in 5th or 6th place. but when im in 7th or 8th place i love to blue shell or lighting everyone. when im in 4th or 3th i like a good red shell. but when im in 2th or 1st place i will take a banana or green shell.

I have to say the blue shell, it is so overpowered and I always call it the "troll item" because of how op it is, but who came up with the idea of the blue shell? They must have wanted a way to cheat in the game fast, lol :)

While i know many people out there enjoy trolling/ spamming strong items on others just for laughs or as some kinda goof, this isnt something i would do for my own reasons... I know most people do it to be funny so to speak while others might do it for bragging rights, but i know not everyone out there would take that very well. :p ive seen people quit online after like first or second loss, and thats all you really need to see to know some people have too big egos or whatever to accept losing without just "blowing up" for lack a better words.

I just play to enjoy my free time when possible, not to drive people crazy with item trolls/ spam. My reason for this is described above and also because i want to be rather kind and just keep things simple. I dont spend time on mario kart wifi trying to aggravate everyone or seeking an opportunity to show off. Im not shaming anyone who does here, just speaking my own feelings. :p

My favorite is probably either the blue shell or the bullet bill. For some reason though, I just like the blue shell a little bit more. It's just the feeling of... POWER... when you get one. Albeit, on the other end, it's not that fun for the person in 1st, but that's the point. I like getting one in last and then pulling into 2nd before using it :whistle:
