But yeah, if you have an issue with how games are rated then feel free to take it up with ESRB or whoever I guess.
thanks for giving a suggestion that i can actually do now and not something I should have done earlier.
Tbh, I cannot think of a single anime that I've watched that doesn't have at least 1 of those things you've mentioned.
honestly im having a hard time thinking of one myself (ERASED maybe? It was mainly children though so I don’t think that counts..) when its there but less noticable then I usually keep watching. Examples: massive obvious showing of cleavage, stop watching. Massive obvious showing of cleavage or smaller showing of cleavage but they zoom in, i stop watching. Smaller showing of cleavage, as long as it isn’t very distracting and the camera isn’t trying to get me to look there, I continue watching. The only time im okay with perverts is when they are villains and get absolutely rekt. No letting them do or say anything gross either.

Erased has an incredibly dark theme to it which is quite messed up tbh. Imo having those kind of rules restricts yourself a lot from things. I have a friend who's like you, he doesn't like anything vulgar or sexual or anything like that at all. And it's a shame, since he wont get into anime because there's not much he'd be comfortable with watching. But I know there is SO many things he's love if he just got past that.

If you're above the age the thing is rated for, then it's more of a case of maturity imo. (Controversial opinion coming up) I kinda just think it's more a case of being mature about it and not just being so... "childish" about it. With how much of this kind of stuff movies and tv shows and such have in them now a days, you can't really avoid it all your whole life. You live your life how you want though, don't take what I said as like "I disagree with everything, you're wrong" ect ect. Different people, different opinions, different lifestyles ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Its not that I don’t want to watch it because I don’t think any anime or video game with stuff like that is necessarily bad, (I watched through stiens gate the whole way even though there was that one extremely awkward scene, and its one of my favorites. I actually make exeptions occasionally if the show is good enough, so giving me garbage before the show actually starts to get good is a good way to make me miss a great show.) but i think that sometimes they just put it in there, and then zoom in so you can’t miss it, so that the natural programming of man kicks in and gives its approval to whatever show you are watching, even though that isn’t what it is for. its there so that people can have real relationships with each other that are stronger than normal relationships. (You can call that an opinion if you would like, and you would probably right, But I don’t think i am wrong, either.)

I mean, hey I'm a female yet I don't mind about ecchi or anything like that as I said before. But I aint like most so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ xD

It can sometimes make something more hilarious but that's probably just my sense of humour. If an anime is using ecchi elements as part of a joke, then if done right it does make for a great joke. If not, then it's just as bad as any other failed joke imo lol. I've started watching high school DxD recently, and in that, yeah the ecchi is the main point in the whole anime. But it's hilarious. It's not just there for being there.

This is kinda getting off topic though, back to the main point. Fan service, like someone said before, is there as something for some fans. But again, that's why ratings are there and why they're so heavily enforced. It's down to you as a consumer to read up on what you buy if you don't like those kind of things. Ratings aren't just numbers and such, each rating is followed by a short list of key words naming why it was rated as such and what points people might not like. That's litually what it's there for, as a simple way to see what you might not like/what you might object to.

That sums up what we (or maybe just me) have learned from this thread. Crunchyroll sucks at giving any notice of what is in thier anime and might actually be the worst source of anime for me. Also, i have a weakness for time travel anime. I watched through stiens gate and re-zero and both had some pretty against my standard stuff.

Just a note, My Anime List notes down why an anime gets rated how it does on each page about the animes and such. And the same for mangas. So if you really want to know before hand then I'd check the anime's MAL page before hand.
