So i stumbled across this amazing project yesterday., Well it's not even close to finished but its something to look upon at. atleast for me that is

In my childhood i played alot of Super Mario 64 and i am sure some of you have too! some good old nostalgic
for ya, I always liked too see it redone in better graphics on the wii u or something. Yes iknow theres a ds remake already but that was also around 11 years ago now, and not as beautiful as this one xD

So heres a short preview video of what they are making.

I'm glad they're doing it. Hopefully it'll bring some attention to Nintendo on how much people want a remake of it.

I was playing through Galaxy 2 last week and when I got to Throwback Galaxy, I got so excited just to play it and that wasn't even in HD. I would buy this remake for $60 in a heart beat.

I got really excited as well when i cam across the Whomp's Fortress level in Galaxy 2 Was hoping they had more haha
But yes i can't wait for this too finish or for Nintendo too start their own remake. I'll trow in money either way!

Forgot to mention that the game is in early development and will be changed around alot untill it is finished.

Glad they are doing a remake I enjoyed playing the game in my earlier childhood get those crafty stars,the graphics have increased quite a bit but I hope they don't completely remake the game but at least put in some new things as well.

Man that looks so amazing compared to the original one . The basic needs were fixed and improved well done and it is really cool for that to be made by fans . Although all this is cool , I hope nintendo notices and decides to make the remake . If so then it will be a really great success . Also they should add some kind of online multiplayer . ( I think that it would be nice to have one)

It would suck if Nintendo remade the game anyway.

Hopefully this will bring attention to Nintendo about the hype and how great this game is. I hope it gets a remake, because I'd love to replay it, such nostalgia. But yeah, I think it's pretty cool they're doing that. Nintendo better not reign on their parade xD

Though the new coat of graphical paint looks immediately different, the developers said they have been "very loyal to the original game when it comes to layout and character controls." Fans have requested some features be added from the DS version, though, so one of the project's artists has started work on the DS port models

It's going to be for the computer actually, since its a fan made project Nintendo would probably not allow it on any console ^.^

Looks nice, however, I just hope for the sake of the humanity that it's not another one of those terribly optimized Unity 3D games that entirely eats your computer's graphic card and processor. If this game isn't the case I just mentioned, then why not...

...but, you know, I heard people already made HD texture packs for the game and a few more, but I don't quite recall the details... (I thought that you had to patch the game or something).

Its a remake by fans anyways i like it especially how it is HD and the new look and all that is good but i think the professional designers and the maker should do a new one out of this,the idea is great but i just think the professionals should do it.
