What do you think of For Glory?

Actually, for unknown reasons, I have never actually experienced any kind of lag while playing ssb for glory. (It's actually not unknown, it's probably because I have the best wifi there is, and I rarely have issues with it. Anytime there is lag, it's only when I do team smash, and that's because someone out of the other 3 players has sucky wifi. The people who keep loosing because of lag [I've been there, I know how much it sucks] probably should see about getting their service changed, or upgrading to better wifi.) And I p lay for glory almost every day. To me, for glory is how you test your skills against a good opponent, without any lucky grabs at the smash ball, or using any stupid items that fall from the sky. Sure, items are fun, but that's why they STAY in the for fun section. For glory, especially one on one, tests your skills and reflexes. Also, I fail to see how sword fighters specifically spam, seeing how all the ranged weaponry fighters just sit in one place like a chicken and charge and shoot you the whole match and call that a fight. Sword fighters and brawlers are generally the ones that don't spam. If most sword fighters are considered spammers, then everyone is. Now, on the subject of bayonetta, she freaking sucks, they never should have made her, and her main users are probably all spamming her combos. Literally all she has is her combos. If you happen to dodge them, or block them, she's pretty much screwed. Im sorry, but I just can't stand bayonetta. She's a waste of a dlc character, and it's even worse since she's the LAST!
I agree, I can't stand Bayonetta either. I can't stand Rosa even more ugh. But the thing that sucks for me is that I already have the best wifi in my region, so I guess Karma keeps getting me lol. But I honestly fail to see how swordfighters aren't spammers. Sure, there's Villager's rockets, but do you actually never see swordfighter spammers?! Like, where I live, all you hear when playing online against a spammer is Shulk and Link screaming. Where do you live where there are no spammers?! TAKE ME WITH YOU! On a side note, here's what I have to deal with in For Glory:

-HYA! HYAHH!!
-BACKSLASH! BACKSLASH! BACKSLASH!
-Sonic's speed-up sounds. Everywhere.
-Bayonetta spamming that giant hand thingy
-Villager ranged spamming
-Toon Link bomb spamming
-Captain Falcons. Captain Falcons everywhere.
-People getting salty and then using my own character (Princess Peach, of course) against me and then using the taunt pop-ups and names on the character selection to mess with me.

Yep. I've had a great Smash career!

Here's my average day on for glory.
Samus- Rolling and Projectiles (most of the time, don't get me wrong I've learned a thing or too from a fraction of them like dash attack into uair. My typical counter would be Rosalina, but Olimar sometimes works too.
Zero Suit- Paralyzer, maybe up b and down b but mostly smash attacks, particularly forward smash
Marth- Forward smash or forward air chase offstage
Ike- Less skilled than Marth, typically easier to beat, uses aerials, if lucky they hold side B and you trap them by holding jab
Ness- Fair, all specials but Magnet
Occasional Bayonetta
Link/Toon Link- Smashes, projectiles, failed bomb recoveries, mostly dair
Noob Mac
Pikachu- mostly smashes, Thunder Jolt, and other specials that aren't quick attack
Cloud- using mostly smashes and dash attack
Tell me about it, man! Oh, and don't forget those people with the extremely ugly miis that are way too good at the game! Can't forget about those guys!
That's what Smash 3DS is missing.

Now I think there should be some hidden code in FG where if you faced a certain character too many times you get redirected to a different player (and a notice tells you beforehand what character they've chosen).

We need more Duck Hunt and Olimar on For Glory.

Don't see very many Olimars anymore tbh

Yeah, honestly, where I live and the people I fight up against, there just aren't that many sword fighter spammers I go up against. I prefer one on ones, so if I normally go up against a spammer, it's probably one of the following: BAYONETTA(man I hate that girl), sheik"s down B( I can't stand it when all they do is flop around like a fish and its almost always a K.O if ur off the stage and they hit you), Shulks side B( holy crap, I feel your pain about having to put up with Shulk screaming BACKSLASH!!! All the time), peuletunas up A, (if your in the air, all they do is spam this.), sonics side b charged(annoying how this spammed move can lead into a pretty good combo), Zeldas Side B and Down B charge( Ok, if your off the stage, how is it fair if all they do is shoot magical explosions create some kind of crappy dark protector to K.O. You for them? Are they afraid of getting their hands dirty?), Samus's B charge and Side B missile(not even going to comment on that one) and every now and then, I go up against some 3 year old trying to spam(unsuccessfully) little macs side B. Oh, and let's not forget about Falco and wolfs b shooting moves, which may not make u flinch, but are freaking annoying. As well as every move made by CAPTAIN FALCO!!!!! What is it with that Phyco? Why does he keep reminding himself who he is? It's either CAPTAIN FALCO, or FALCON KICK, Or FALCON PUNCH, or HHHHAAYYYYAA! Dude, we get it. You like Falcons. It's getting old.
So in a nutshell, those are the majority of moves that people spam with when I play against them. And I am sorry, (no offense meant to you of course, if your complaining about spammers, I'm sure you don't spam[ unless you were joking about the peach thing] but the 3 main things I have to put up with all the time that makes me REALLY irratated, 1. Bayonetta in general, I hate everything about her. 2. Captain Falco, they made him too OP and equally annoying and 3, HAVING TO PUT UP WITH SPAMMERS SPAMMING PEACHES SIDE B. All you here is HHAAZZZAAAHHH!!!! Hey peach, you want some pizza? HAZZAAH! Hey peach, want to watch a movie? HAZZAAH! ITS STUCK IN MY HEAD AND DRIVING ME CRAZY???!!!

On a different subject, I have indeed met quite a few perverted people on smash that had a few... Choice words as their name. And yes, then there are the people with the very, very ugly miis. The ones that could squash the best of the best. With a mii that has a face that should be illegal to be so ugly.
Now, I main in link. I have to agree with you that his HYAAYYS Can be a little annoying, but I pretty much never spam any of his moves. To me, it's more of a survival thing than a game. You have to try out new combos and strategies, and when your done the opponent won't see what your doing until it's too late. Checkmate.

Actually it's never laggy for me when I go on For Glory. It's just on For Fun when I experience terrible lag. But I love For Glory's Team Battle. I always prefered team battles on flat stages therefore the mode is perfect for me. Spammers aside I think the mode is a lot of fun. Most of all, I just love it when my partner and I win against the other team that are on a way higher skill level than us. It gives me so satisfaction, so much wow, so much yes.

For Glory's 1v1 is alright. Just too many spammers and tryhards What I hate most about For Glory are the grab spammers. They rely so much on it it's hard to enjoy the match just to get very annoyed. It's very common, like 95% of the people I fight against will spam grab.

Now the fighters? I hate fighting against Bayonettas, Shulks, Clouds, Sonics, and Mewtwos. They all do the same combos. I'd rather fight against a Link than any of these 5.
Ganandorf spams combos as well, but for some reason I love fighting Ganondorfs lel, I get so happy when I see one.

Heyooooo random newbie here and like the title says I wanna hear or read your opinion of the For Glory mode of Smash in terms of player behaviors and strength, lag characters ect. (Oh God that run-off sentence)
Anyway, I feel like people have gotten better over the year. (Except for Bayonettas They just kinda spam Down-B and smash attacks.)

Also dont forget to like, favorite, comment, subscribe, thumbs up, thumbs down, thumbs sideways, backflip, and I'll see you in the next thread.;) 1like=1dollar

Me i prefer playing online in super smash bros for glory because ,in for fun items are turn on and i hate playing there because there are some annoying item that i hate in super smash bros that may be present there items like the home-run bat if the hit it on you ,you will die at the moment .Another item the hen.If you hit it or if some one throw it on you she will call all it friends to come and be damaging you .

In for fun,stages are different from those in for glory .And there are some stages that i hate in super smash bros like;
the living room .There funitures are falling in that stage and it damages you so there you must be careful. The mute city .If you just touch the ground where cars are driving you will be hurt and some times kills you.The magicant. This is ness place .In this stage what i hate here is that there is ususally a character that usually appear and if anyone attack it it will become a help player for you i just hate this stage if my enemy attacks it :D

It's definitely at the top on the salt generation industry ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I don't usually play for glory as the spamming is insane. Once in a while you find someone good, but then their too good for me to handle. And I hate playing for fun because if the randomness of the items and unfairness of the stages! I'd rather play against level nine CPU's than play for glory because you get ok people who don't always spam and you can play for glory style.

For Glory is basically training mode. Where you can practice super easy reads, combos that'll never work on actually good players, and get many many spikes because no one can air Dodge. Although, on the days where the stars align and the moon is in the correct phase, you'll get a good player. So don't use for glory unless you have no other players to play. And you can find more competitive players and tips about your character on smashboards. Of course, you can ask competitive players such as @OopaMazo, (@Marc?), myself, @Light and many others that are in the shadows.

To be honest, I dont take for glory seriously. I never go my main in for glory, unless my opponent is really good and he deserves it. I just train my pockets/secondaries. I have 5000+ FG wins and I dont brag about it lmao. Nobody should. FG is for fun and nothing else.
