Which is better? Between Legendaries & Shinies?

I think legends are more rare atm, but shinies to. It is stupid tho that all of them can be cheated and there are lost of them on GTS (which is illegal, just saying)

I like both but I like Shinies because they make regular Pokemon stand out. If you are really Luck you might find a shiny legendary

Ooohhh I am loving this thread. I believe in Shiny Pokemon more than Legendary Pokemon, but it is definetly close. Shiny Pokemon are more rare than legendaries on the trading market, and people will go to extremes to get Shinies.

I would choose Shinies over Legendaries because they are more rare. Legendaries can be caught by catching them in their game, but Pokemon have 1/4096 of a chance to be shiny. Shies are also more valuable.

Shinnies > Legendaries

Shiny Pokemon are more valuable than legendaries (IMO) because of the rarity in the Pokemon games, and the unique alternate coloration of the Pokemon. Shiny Pokemon stand out better than legendaries.

Srsly tho, I think I'll have to go with legendaries, shinys are nice and all, but as a competitive player, I value legendaries more as they are a crucial part of the singles metagame.

Shinies, they are much harder to obtain and more valuable. Legendaries are more easier to encounter. They're just more common, I think. Most of the time you'd have to breed to get a shiny or encounter the same pokemon loads and loads of times.

Shinies are a lot more rare as the legendaries you encounter during your story while shinies you may never see in your life. people can always just restart there game and get multiple legendaries if they wanted to but you can't do that with shinies as they are pure random and by luck of chance.

shinies are more rare because shinies could take hours to find with the poke radar the only b ad thing is that the shiny POKEMON are regular and arent stronger than legendaries. legendaries are somewhat easy to find because they are part of the game and you can just explore caves for 15 or 20 minutes and find some, but not all pokemon games have alot. If it was a shiny legendary pokemon then it would be a miracle to find one because the last time i soft reset a shiny legendary i had to soft reset 10,238 times!

I'm not sure what you mean by "more powerful" (since shinies don't have changed stats), but legendaries aren't near as hard to get as shinies are. It adds a great deal of individuality to a pokémon, and gets me a lot more excited to find one than getting a legendary (especially if I get a shiny starter - pure bliss).

I think shinies are better because they are really rare and look cool. But some legends like Giratina look awesome too.

Getting a legit Shiny is much more of an accomplishment then getting a legend.
You really have to work hard (or be lucky) to get one. I chained Riolus 89 times and then gave up, my next encounter after that was a shiny Riolu

Shiny Pokémon. Strikes fear into the heart of your opponent. They take so much effort to get, you have to be really into the game. Also, they make you a memorable opponent.

I'd say a personally bred shiny is WAY more valuable than any legendary. I will never forget my 5IV Buneary. :')

This is tough. Legendarys you can only get each once and are not as hard to get and shinies are really hard to get annd harder to catch. Legendarys look really cool and Shinies because they invert color but sometimes just don't work out.
