@Eightcoins oh yeah that game, that game was supposed to be a very innovating game, but need up as a huge flop, if I had the money, I would buy it just for my collection, as it is a pretty interesting game and how they were able to make a bad Zelda game even if it wasn't originally made by Nintendo... Correct me if I am worng about that.

It'd be cool to have Zelda as a playable character in her own main series game ( finally the title Legend of Zelda would make sense :p ) . It would be very interesting so I'd definitely would want and have to try a game like this , though I'm lot more used to playing as Link :p

If I could I might but it is just too weird because Zelda is kinda that original damsel in distress calling for her hero to save her. I mean there's Sheik but she would still be weird to play with. At least she kinda broke apart from being a princess waiting to be saved to trying to save the hero xD

Yes especially during the 7 years that Link was asleep. It would be cool to be Zelda as she trains to become Sheik and tries to hide her identity from the world while trying to save it.

Yesssss.... I would DEFINITELY love to play as Zelda, seeing that she does nothing but get saved all of the time. Especially in Ocarina of Time where Link disappeaered, I really wonder what Zelda was doing at that time, It would be a fun spin-off of the Zelda series, could be titled something like, "The Zelda Chronicles" or Something. Im way too used to seeing a green hat and shirt, maybe its time for a spin-off nintendo! Except for Hyrule Warriors, you can't play as Zelda :meh:... I would like to see a RPG Zelda game when you can actaully play as Zelda! Hoping this would happen!

Hmmmm.... maybe two story modes, one with link and one with zelda. In the Link one it would be regular legend of zelda adventure but in the zelda one maybe you can play through being imprisoned and finding ways out through dungeons with big underground worlds with sidequests involving helping underground creatures and collecting items along the way and in the end Zelda is strong enough to team up with link when he gets to the castle to defeat Ganondorf. Sounds sort of weird but it is all I could think of.

It'd be really fun to play as Zelda. With her magic, as well as her Sheik form, there could be room for interesting play styles and new types of gameplay. I'd buy a Zelda game starring Zelda in an instant. Imagine her switching between Sheik and Zelda to solve puzzles and traverse through terrain, and trying to hide from public eye because they can't see the princess in distress. It'd be really cool.

I'd like to see this either as it's own game or as a special quest like LoZ games have done (like the second quest in LoZ NES featured the playable character "Zelda). You could also say you could play as her during story mode and be able to play a completely different character sort of like OoT and MM. She has transformations to choose from too. Sheik, Tetra, or the ghost armor could be used in different ways as well as still use arrows and magic (maybe in an RPG fashion to boost magic points, speed, and offense like LoZ: The Adventure of Link).

No.

I think the Legend of Zelda as the title means the story of how the princess of hyrule aka Zelda is saved by a courageous hero named Link.

Going through adventures, and completing dungeons to save the beatuiful princess makes a better story, than a princess being kidnapped etc. and being strong enough to save herself. If that was the case she wouldn't of been caught or anything from the begining.

I agree with this. Most of the games are based on a quest by link to save Zelda. What would the story even look like if we made Zelda the main playable character?

A game with Zelda as a main hero would be interesting. I have heard of Zelda: Wand of Gamelon, and seen reviews of it, and it looks awful. In a game like Spirit Tracks, you kind of play as Zelda, since you can control her when she posseses a Phantom and sort of do a co op, like in the game's final boss.

A game where you could switch between Link, Zelda and Sheik would be cool like in some puzzles you would need Zelda's magic or Sheik's abilities
